I brought my 2009 Mini Cooper to be serviced for a headlight malfunction. I was told I needed a new "footwell control module". I paid the $1500 for the repair, and has been functioning correctly ever since. However, 3 days after the repair, there was a recall notice sent out by Mini specifically on the footwell control module. When reaching out to Mini for a refund on my out of pocket expense, I was told that the refund will be given once the "remedy has been made available". To this day, 10 months later, the remedy is still not available and I remain out of pocket $1500. I have called Motorwerks Mini multiple times to check on status and request my refund, but have been unsuccessful. I'm not sure how the remedy can still not be available, when the problem has been fixed on my mini....?Review from Tony L.

Purchased new 2011 Mini Cooper here and will never never take my car here again or purchase another vehicle here due their poor service department. Took my 2011 Mini in due to check engine light and miss firing. They did a diagnostic and told me me that I needed a new engine and quoted me $17,008.58 for a new engine. Car had 86,000 miles on it and they did not perform or recommend looking at valves, doing a compression check or any other diagnostics. Said it just was not worth it. Though did offer for me to trade it in for a new car. Took car to indepenent shop and they fixed vehicle for about what Mini charged me for an incomplote erroneous diagnostic. The valves needed cleaning as is common with the 2011 Mini Cooper direct injected engines. Diagnostic was done by Mini dealer on 7/1/21 and car was fixed at independent shop directly thereafter. As of the date of this review the car has been running great and has anouther 20,000 miles on it.Review from Kimmi

I forced to trade my Mini Cooper I brought my car in to Motorwerks for a minor issue and Motorwerks worked on it …and they caused it to have major issues which caused me to have to trade my Mini for a 2017 Ford escape. I drove my mini Cooper in for a minor and it was a Undrivable.I was very upset I traded in my car June 2, 2022 .By July 3rd my check engine light came on and I called Motorworks Jake **** he told me to take it to Ford. That I was no longer needing to come back to Motorwerks . I was told by Ford that I needed a new engine block and that motor Works sold me a car knowing it had a expired engine recall and Ford also expressed that Motorworks erased some codes . Prior to this situation I had a wheel bearing problem within the 30 days of warranty. Bob ******* he was not happy that he had to replace wheel bearings. I called him about the situation and he was very defensive right away. He said that he was wasting his money by putting $800 bearings in my car. Bob appeared to have no public relations experience he constantly repeated himself like a child having a tantrum as he was reading a script his words were nervous, shaky and he seemed not to be in reality the conversation was all about his money not my car and Bob told me that this was my problem needless to say since July 3rd I have put a $8,000 new block engine in my car… I traded a broken car for a broken car. Motor works will not take any responsibilities. They have terrible attitudes. I’ve been in the mini family for seven years. When they wrecked my mini Brian ***** told me they wouldn’t leave me on the curb. Needless to say, I am a single parent with a special needs child and they saw me coming. They all had attitudes towards me. They we’re not helpful. I will never do business with them again. I write this to tell you to stay away from this company it looks beautiful on the outside but on the inside it is rotted with these worms Chris *****, Brian *****, Jake ****, GM Bob ****** Don’t care.Motorwerks MINI Response

We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We take great pride in customer satisfaction and do whatever we can to assure that everyone is treated with the upmost respect. We knew nothing about your engine block, nor did you make us aware of the problem. Please feel free to reach out to discuss. Again, we do everything we can to make every experience at MotorWerks MINI a great one. I hope to hear from you.*********************Review from Tammy H.

This company doesn't know how to be honest! They will lie, overcharge you, tell you that you need repairs you don't need, deny any responsibility for their mistakes, and take advantage of you every chance they get. DON'T TRUST THEM TO WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE!Motorwerks MINI Response

If only that were true! I have been to your shop 5 TIMES and spent over $5000 AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON 4 DAYS OUT OF YOUR SHOP and is STILL ON and when I called your service department, who guaranteed their work by the way, I was told and I quote "*****, your Mini is at a point where it doesn't make sense to continue to maintain". THIS AFTER THEY HAD ME SINK $5000+ INTO THE *** on unnecessary repairs and services at outlandish prices for parts and labor. My car ran perfectly until I came in for a recall on my Power Steering Pump and had your mechanics do a multi point inspection wherein they told me my tires were to specs (they were NOT and in fact were causing all kinds of damage) and that my brakes were good (they were NOT a week later you told me they were "rusted all around" and needed to be replaced) and they failed to do a proper inspection of my vehicle or they would have seen the wear on my belt (and I have a Supercharger belt driven engine) which broke and screwed up my crankshaft which I paid you to repair and you told me I needed a valve cover gasket which I paid you to do and it was put on incorrectly! I have an immense amount of proof in the form of pictures, videos, audio recordings, estimates from other mechanics (including another Mini Shop who underbid your prices by $1300) tow truck receipts, text messages and emails, rental cars receipts, and more. I will see you in court where I can prove your dishonesty and bad business practices! Unbeknownst to you, you have proven my case for me in more ways than one. You couldn't even be honest about the number of times I have been in your shop. I HAVE 4 INVOICES THAT SAY OTHERWISE.Motorwerks MINI Response
