Purchased brand new 2022 XC 60 in November 2021. Have had a multitude of issues with new car. Remote start did not work until 4/22 after multiple trips in and troubleshooting. Brought in multiple times for vibration, seat belt light going off - when nobody sitting in the seat, sensor lights going off when nothing near car. They said foam in tire was coming lose so they removed foam from all tires. Pirelli the tire manufacturer stated if the foam was lose that is a defect in tire and they shouldve warranty replaced all tires. Stated removing foam decreases integrity of tire. Now have the sidewall of front tire coming apart. Vehicle had to be towed due to not starting after work a month ago. They said computer update needed. Went to pick car up and they could not get it started. Left car there again. Car has had battery replaced x 2 now. I asked for them to check further as my car should not be going through batteries. Service said theyd go out and start my car every day for next week. This morning they called to state car turned over very slow and they are taking it back into shop. I feel they are throwing parts at this car and not ever fixing whatever the issue is. This car is a lemon.

I bought my V60 Cross Country from Borton in 2016. The car was new and an extended warranty was part of the purchase. I've had a few smaller repairs rejected by the warranty due to it being body work related. Not surprising in the least. However, last August I took the car in for a grinding noise and vibration coming from the front end when driving above 20mph, and especially when cornering. I was assured the issue was road noise even though we discussed it being present with both my winter and summer tires. The issue noticeably worsened during November and December so I had the car looked at again after another issue popped up in January. Turns out the front bearings were shot and in need of replacement. A $1,600 repair, and the warranty expired in December so the cost was all on me. I requested that Borton review the issue and cover the cost of the bearing repair since the vehicle had been seen for the issue previously. I did not ask for the other $2.400 in repairs to be covered. Just the front wheel bearings. They deferred to the warranty company and dragged out the "resolution" for a month, only to come back and state the repair isn't covered. Additionally, in the process of working with the service manager, I learned that I had been sold a used card warranty rather than the Volvo extended warranty offered on new cars. No explanation was offered on that and my questions were avoided when I asked. I wouldn't recommend the service department, or the sales department for that matter. We had one of our senior Volvo trained technicians inspect the car at the initial service visit and he specifically inspected the wheel bearings for noise or play. There was no problem at that point. After the wheel bearing repair was made, four months after the initial visit where there was no problem found, we did send in the documents per the customer's request to the warranty company. They determined that the wheel bearing failure occurred after the initial inspection and would not be covered after the warranty contract had expired.
