FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vancouver, BC - BBB International Investigations has recently uncovered some startling numbers about pets advertised for sale online. While 'pet scams' are nothing new, evidence indicates as much as 80% of online ads and websites claiming to sell puppies are fake. Pet scams entail a promise of delivery of your new dog while the scammer fleeces you of thousands of dollars in alleged medical, travel, and insurance fees. The animals, of course, don't exist and any images of adorable puppies on a website are only there to steal your heart.
