BBB's mission is to create a marketplace where businesses and consumers trust each other. It's just that simple. But where does that trust begin? Do consumers come from a starting point of trust or do businesses have to earn it? To get a sense of where consumer's trust is in 2017, BBB hired Neilsen Data to develop the BBB Trust Sentiment Index.
What we've found is consumer trust appears to be increasing, yet the quality of service isn't following suit. Another key point is a full third of consumers don't complain when things go sideways. This results in key opportunities lost to make things right and build trust.
