I am writing this letter in regard to my **** that I got diagnosed at SKR Truck & Trailer Repair. On 28 October 2021, I called your shop and enquired if you guys work on **** ****. Upon my enquiry I was told that your mechanics will be able to work on it and so I brought in my truck for a diagnosis to find out what the problem could be on the truck. I did mention during my phone call that the truck seemed to be losing power. I was told that it would be an hour’s diagnosis and I would be informed of the problem. I had clearly mentioned to give me a call after the hours diagnosis and before my bill gets any higher than an hour. The lady whom I spoke to said that she had put a note regarding that however your foreman didn’t have any idea about the specific note of the request I made. Unfortunately, I was not given any call and thus I have been charged for 2hours of diagnosis. I was able to talk to your shop foreman and have been told that I should get the Y Pipe (up pipe)fixed before I look into solving anything else. So basically, I have been charged for 2 hours($292.99) just to get to know to fix the Y Pipe and then do anything further I got a call on Friday morning (29 October 2021), informing that my truck was ready for pickup. To top it up, I was told that the truck cannot be fixed at your shop. I was not given any particular reason as to why my truck couldn’t be fixed at your shop especially after when the diagnosis was already done. I wouldn’t have brought in my truck at your shop had I been told from my initial enquiry that you guys cannot fix and work on **** to begin with. I have lost so much of my time and customers as a result of this. I am a business owner myself and I have always been very transparent to my clients about everything. At this point I am down about $300 and 5 days. Had I been told that your shop cannot fix a **** at the beginning, I would have gone somewhere else and probably have my truck fixed by now but because of the weekend the earliest I could do was today. To sum this up I am down about $300, 5 days and no exact issue known. I now have to go to some other shop get it diagnosed again and pay one more time. As a result of this I request to get a refund as that is what I would do under any business ethics. this was the email i sent to the owner of the shop sean.
