Bought vehicle from Burnaby, BC location - $2,900 2 days ago Manager Kyle A. & son MISREPRESENTATION 1) False Ad on ******** a) Ad says "Spent $2,600 on new Transmission". I asked for an invoice. Kyle refused, saying I am purchasing from him not his transmission company Got confused whether my wife and I are buying from him or company since one matter is related to the franchisee transmission company while another matter is his as an individual b) Ad says: "Vehicle Needs Nothing" MAJOR ISSUES Concealed - NO SPARE KEY SET INCL. FOB: $483.84 - ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON LATER: $728 TOTAL: $1,211 Minor issues concealed:- FR power window- Alarm- Panic button. Should be more. HAVE TO GET QUOTES Kyle keeps bunch of forms for buying/selling cars in the franchisee office. He doesn't even come to insurance retail for the transfer. You should go by yourself. Vehicle got transferred. Realized no SPARE KEY & FOB Kyle: Car didn't come with spares I thought the key & fob were affordable. Went to ***** dealer. $483.84 Go back to their transmission company. Son and colleague say no vehicle comes with 2 keys! Phoned Kyle: Says he's not responsible 2) Kyle only accepts cash although telling it once you are there. We had to go and provide Kyle with cash from the bank. Kyle said there's expenses in the transmission business, so he needs cash! ** ******* **** *** *** *** ****** *****. I paid 12% tax on $2,900 purchase 3) Engine Light came on after 50km of driving Father & son managed to reset the dash lights before we were there. Took car to ***** ****** in Burnaby when engine light was off. ** *** ********* ** **** ** ********* ******* ** **** ****** ***** **** ** **** **** ** ******** ***** *** ****** ***** **** ** ********** ******** ********* **** **** ******* **** ***** ** **** ** ******* **** ******** ****** *** ********* ****** **** **** ************ ******* ****** ***** *** ******* **** ** * ******* ********** *** ************* Deal takes place inside franchisee office.

      Mister Transmission Burnaby Response

      23/02/2022

We sold the car that was going to be used for a courtesy car We purchased the car from our customer that decided not to repair the transmission We rebuilt the transmission in-house Retail price for rebuild would be 2600 Customer was aware of power window not operating and had only 1 key and remote We told customer we did not do a mechanical inspection on the vehicle and he took the vehicle to his own mechanic

      Customer Response

      01/03/2022

IN HIS RESPONSE HE MANAGED NOT TO ANSWER MAIN CONCERNS! BREAKING DOWN HIS RESPONSE FOLLOWED BY MY ANSWERS IN UPPER CASE BELOW TO AVOID THE ABOVE.  PLEASE ANSWER EVERY SECTION / SUB SECTION UNDERNEATH IT SO NOTHING GOES MISSING * **** ***** * ********* **** *** ******* ********** ********** ** ***** THIS RESPONSE WILL BE C'cd FOR THEM TO SEE WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY.   1) We sold the car that was going to be used as courtesy car.  a) **** ** ** ******* **** **** ******** ********, AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CONSIDERED COURTESY CAR.  b) THEY HAVE TO HAVE LICENSE FOR GIVING OUT COURTESY CARS AND ALSO SELLING VEHICLES.  c) WHO IS WE? HIM OR COMPANY? AD DOESN'T SAY THIS IS COMPANY VEHICLE. IT INDICATES HIM AS SELLER!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. d) ** ****** ******** ** ****** ** ******** ***** **** ***** *** *** ************ ***** ** **** ** ******** **** ** **** *******. e) A COURTESY CAR CAN NOT HAVE FOLLOWING FLAWS. THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT COMPLIANT  i) 21 YEARS OLD, DRIVEN FOR 250,000 km ESPECIALLY HIM SAYING THEY ONLY CHANGE TRANSMISSION AND DON'T CHECK ANYTHING ELSE INCLUDING ENGINE, SAFETY, ETC. IS HE SUGGESTING SUCH VEHICLE COULD BE CONSIDERED AS COURTESY CAR.   ii) ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AFTER 40KM DRIVING. HE COULD NEVER RESET THE LIGHTS OR/AND DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR A CUSTOMER. ****** **** ***** ** ** **** *** *** ** ***** * ********* ******* ***** **** ****** *** ****** ***** ****  iii) FOR A COURTESY CAR, THEY DEFINITELY HAVE TO CONSIDER SPARE KEY AND SPARE FOB. ON A SEPARATE NOTE, NOT TELLING ME ABOUT THIS, I SHOULD SPEND $500 ON THESE 2 WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR FOR $2,900. THAT MEANS 1/6 OF THE PRICE THEY SOLD THE VEHICLE TO ME. iv) DEFINITELY CAN NOT HAVE POWER WINDOW NOT OPERATING, ESPECIALLY THE FRONT ONE. v) ALARM PANIC BUTTON   vi) TRUNK'S SPRINGS FOR OPENING/CLOSING HAVE ISSUES. THEY OPENED/CLOSED IT THEMSELVES IN FRONT OF US TO AVOID US REALIZING THE ISSUE. WHEN YOU OPEN THE TRUNK, AS SOON AS TRUNK DOOR REACHES TOP END, IT BOUNCES BACK VERY QUICK AND YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT DOESN'T HIT YOUR FINGERS. A CHANCE OF INJURY IS A LIABILITY FOR THE COMPANY IN ORDER TO GIVE THIS CAR AS A COURTESY TO CUSTOMER vii) FOB DOESN'T HAVE A BUTTON FOR OPENING THE TRUNK WHICH IS FINE SINCE IT DOESN'T HAVE THIS FEATURE. THIS IS WHEN THE TRUNK HAS A TANGIBLE LOCK BUT THE KEY CANNOT OPEN IT f) *** *** ******** ****** ******* **** ** ***** ***** ****** ** ***** ** *** ****** ******** *** ***** ** ******* ** *** ******** ** *** ******** *** *** ** **** **** ** ** ** *** **** **** AD SAYS HE IS THE SELLER NOT COMPANY!  2ND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! 2) We rebuilt the transmission in-house Retail price for rebuild would be $2,600   i) THIS SHOULD BE 3RD FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. AD SAYS TRANSMISSION IS NEW. IT DOESN'T MENTION ANYTHIG ABOUT REBUILT TRANSMISSION!ii). WHY DON'T THEY GIVE OUT AN INVOICE AS PROOF?iii) DOES THIS NEW TRANSMISSION AS ADVERTISED CARRY A WARRANTY? AFTER ALL AD SAYS IT'S WORTH $2,600. EVEN REBUILT ONES SHOULD HAVE WARRANTY! 3) We told customer we did not do a mechanical inspection on the vehicle and he took the vehicle to his own mechanic i) FIRST OF ALL HE DIDN'T SAY SUCH THING. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THIS BUSINESS IN THE AUTO INDUSTRY, DEALING WITH REBUILDING TRANSMISSION OR/AND PUTTING NEW TRANSMISSIONS NOT INSPECTING MECHANICAL ISSUES, ETC. AFTER ALL, HE MENTIONS THEY BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE CONSIDERING IT TO BE A COURTESY CAR. IS HE SUGGESTING THEY DON'T INSPECT ENGINE, SAFETY FEATURES, ETC. *** ****** ******** ** ******* ***** ****, THEN ADDING IT TO THEIR COURTSEY CARS. EVEN FOR SELLING A CAR, SINCE THEY ARE AN INCORPORATION IN THE CAR INDUSTRY THEY HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK EVERYTHING AND ABOVE ALL BE TRANSPARENT TO THE BUYER. ii) * ********* ** ** ******* ********* ** *** **** I DID TAKE IT TO MY MECHANIC IN BURNABY, DRIVING IT FOR 2 KILOMETERS TO THE LOCATION. THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS OFF! HOW COULD MY MECHANIC PREDICT THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON ONCE I DRIVE THE CAR FOR 50KM!!! ****** ********** *** ******* ** **** * *****. I MENTIONED AFTER DRIVING IT FOR 50KM THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I CAN'T BLAME THE MECHANIC NOT PREDICTING THIS. * **** *** ***** ** ****** ******* *** ****** ***** ** *** ******** *** ** ***** ******* *** ****** **** ****** *** ****** ***** ** *** *********** ***** ** **** *****
