On Feb 23rd 2022 I was referred to Big O Tires In richmond BC. On No 6 Road they recently moved from No 3 Road and I though Wow that's a great price. I recently bought a new vehicle in another province and had to get it re-inspected for BC. They Had a vehicle safety Inspection Certified. for $62. Wow I thought, But you can bet your bottom dollar your car will not pass. A guy named Udo drove it around the block after n15 minutes, and said your car failed, and I was charged full price $83 ( for the 2 hour inspection) and Sean said we can fix it for $110 but it could be something more expensive. I asked if I could get my mechanic to repair it ? Sean said yeah but we have to charge you full price for inspection again !!! AND Untill you pay For inspection, you don't get your key or vehicle... So Unless they do their own repairs... I decided to cut my losses paid $83 to get my vehicle back.... & went to my own mechanic who is an honest man, who adjusted the part for $41..... Moral of the Story: IF IT SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT PROBABLY ISN'T TRUE. If your here now looking them up @ BBB I'm sorry for you, We All should check reviews. Big O Tires offers an out of province inspection that is completed by an Inspector certified by the Province of BC to perfom these insepctions. Your car must meet Provincial Standards to Pass. Should your car not meet this standard, the Inspector is required to process a fail to the Province of BC inspection website. Big O has a great rate for this inspection service which are pleased to offer. The vast majority of inspected vehicles pass or need only minor repairs or adjustments to meet the Provincial Standards. Should a vehicle not pass, the Out Of Province Insepction Fee would be charged as the inspection was done and filed. Big O Tires does not require that you do any repairs at our location, however should you choose to do so, Big O Tires will perform the resinspection at No Charge as we are already confident that the remedial work was done to Provincial Standards.. Should you choose to have others do the work, a reinspection fee is charged to confirm that work done now meets Provincial Standards, and then to process the results of the inspection to the Provincial Inspection Site. It is worth noting that the initial fee plus the reinspect fee is approximately equal to our competitors higher intial fee.
