In reply to complaint #110620: The quote I gave him was for $2772.00 and not $5700.00 as was stated. If needed, we can produce emails from this party that could possibly hold him liable for slander if the issue were pushed. A very pleasant email was sent to him 6-13-23 regarding his threatening email and the matter was dropped from our side until we received notice from BBB this week.
Email from #110620: You are a scammer. I repeat YOU ARE A SCAMMER. I have secured a reputable company, that has insurance and workman's comp. Their price is $350.00. Why? Because THEY ARE NOT SCAMMING PEOPLE, UNLIKE YOU. DON'T BOTHER TO REPLY UNLESS YOU WANT THIS QUOTE PASTED ON EVERY BLOG ON THE INTERNET. GO AWAY YOU AWFUL PERSON.
Email from Our Company: I have read your email and it is disheartening to think that this company would try to scam you or any other customer. We have been in business' for 64 years and longevity is not brought about by deceiving our customers. You had mentioned that your previous quotes came in at $300.00 to $500.00 dollars. I am curious to know who these companies are and if they even looked at your situation to find out if there was not some sort of internal damage or not. Are they bidding apples to apples per my quote? To me, the soffit system would not have come loose if there were not some sort of internal structural deficiency to start with. I can understand your frustration after receiving my estimate, but this is what it will take to get you back into usable condition. Please ask your contractors if they have insurance, if they are bidding what I bid (or just a simple repair) and what their work background consist of. I really don't see how someone could do a large repair for such a price, as you say. Call me if you have any questions. This was word for word on my email to him.
