On Oct., 22. 2021 we received two estimates from Skyguard for work outside and inside our home. One estimate was $2100, and the other was$3300. The latter included work on our garage ceiling. Drywall mudding and texturing of garage ceiling $1100, and $850 for painting ceiling, for a total of $1950 for garage ceiling work. All work done by Skyguard seemed fine. The salesman *** ******* said all work was guaranteed for a year. On April 29, 2022 *** ******* came out to look at garage ceiling that was rippled. He said he would have painter come back and sand it and repaint it. Shortly thereafter, a large section of the ceiling buckled, split, and fell to the ground. *** repeated again that the work is guaranteed a year. Since then, a second section has fallen. A representative from Skyguard, ***** *****, came out to look at the ceiling on June 30, 2022. He said the job should never have been taken and done. There was no window in the garage, and temperatures were extremely hot. He said ceiling would continue to fall and probably one cause was no insulation over ceiling. They never checked this before the work. ***** said all he could now do was to refund my money. We never got a check for $1950 or any amount. We left a message to have CEO and Managing Partner **** *********** call us. He never did. Instead ***** ***** called and said **** *********** was out for several weeks because of health reasons. ***** ***** offered us $100. We found it unacceptable. He told me to hold while he checked with someone at the office. ***** ***** then offered me $300. I refused to settle the problem for $300. I feel that the ceiling should not have come down in seven months. I should receive a full refund for $1950. ***** ***** said there would be no complete refund given. He said Skyguard is not a professional drywall company; it is not their specialty. I took the word of the sales rep that the job could be done and the work guaranteed. ** **** and I are in our eighties.
