            I have never received anything from this company and do not understand why they are charging a card from my household [*********************] EIGHTY something dollars! I am absolutely SICK of these corporations taking card numbers and doing whatever with them. I have disputed this fraudulent charge with my ban twice and this company keeps doing something to keep it from happening. This is absolutely unacceptable. I went without food for a few days because of this company. If the money is not put into my account immediately, I will be writing a review online as well as taking this bogus online company to court. If we go to court, I will be walking away with more than eighty dollars, I promise you that. This large company stole from my small family. Shameful as heck.

            Tricked (as another reviewer wrote). I had entered my credit card to order first class stamps last Spring which I intended to be a one-off. Apparently, I was enrolled (not intending to) into a free trail that converted to a monthly ProPlan- which with tax - is $21.76 a month. I only realized this today, and immediately cancelled my subscription online. This is 3 days into the month for which I am being charged the full amount or a service fee of $21.This is my worst online experience. I purchased the stamps just for personal use (I am not a business) and I am now out $200 (!). In short, I would not go anywhere near this business ever again. It seems to be a business model that is predicated on tricking people into signing up for monthly charges rather than for the services this company purportedly provides.

            I can see why that would be upsetting, *****.  Your satisfaction is very important to us and we have determined that a refund will be given.  We have issued a refund in the amount of $241.53 to your credit card.  Please allow 3-5 business days for this credit to be applied to your account.  The credit may not be reflected immediately on an online statement.  Please allow one billing cycle to pass before it is reflected on a paper statement.  Rest assured we have closed your account.  We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our services.  We do not sell rolls or books of stamps, as the service we offer is the ability to print postage.  Stamps.com is a PC Postage Vendor licensed and approved by the ***** We are a separate company from the **** itself.

            We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our fees.  We hear your concerns and we always aim to fully disclose our fees before any account can be created.  We don't advertise or offer a free or pay-as-you-go service, and as disclosed and explained during registration, we do charge a monthly fee after the 4-Week Trial Period, which ended on your account on 5/9/23.  

            The fee we charge gives you access to services of the *********** and the license to print official U.S. postage. Its a flat fee that is not determined by how much postage you print.  Stamps.com is a vendor licensed by the ****, and all paid postage goes directly to the ***********. In order to offer our standard service, we do charge a monthly subscription fee.

            We never charge people without their full agreement during our online registration process.  Our service fee is not based on usage or activity.  The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer.  Our service is a monthly subscription service so its not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.   

            To best serve our customers, we provide the terms for Stamps.com accounts during the registration process. Stamps.com accounts cannot be created without customers indicating that theyve read the terms and conditions. We believe in full disclosure, which is why we provide our terms ( ******************************************** ) on a single webpage during the registration process.

            During registration for a Stamps.com account, we explain that your credit card will not be charged unless you continue past the four-week trial or buy additional postage and Online Store products.

            In addition, immediately after sign-up, new customers are sent a Welcome Email with the same terms outlined, along with information about the monthly flat rate fee if you choose to continue past the trial month.
