Norton is phishing for PCI (Personal Credit Information) as a standard practice. They have no need for this information but once you purchase their product they require it in order to activate the product. Thus unless you give them your PCI you cannot acquire the product you purchased. This was verified by directly contacting Norton's support and speaking directly to a supervisor named: ******. This practice is not only unethical but borders on illegal as PCI should only be acquired on an as needed basis and Norton does not need this information to provide the product that has already been purchased. Thus, the only conceivable reason they are doing this is to collect PCI illegally under the pretext that it is required when it is not.

This service is the most contemptable machination ever created by man. I cancelled my subscription. Afterwards, multiple times a day, Norton pop-ups would appear on my screen. Their endless pop-ups would not load well, and would be non-responsive for minutes, hogging all my CPU, so that no other program could run. It must have been done with malicious intent, because I would even try ending Norton's adware service with Task Manager, and even it couldn't close it. I went to my program files to try to delete it to stop the pop-ups, I even tried to delete it using the Command Prompt in admin mode, nothing worked. It is basically adware. Norton is those mafia thugs that say "That's a nice shop you have there"; for all intents and purposes bricking your PC for minutes a time multiple times a day, so that you buy back a subscription to make the pop-ups of malice stop. Norton is harder to get rid of than an actual computer virus. I have common sense, but I have gotten a computer virus or two before. I have never had a virus nastier than Norton Security when you end the subscription. Norton Security is the most abominable program ever written. I have given it one star.

Norton Antivirus is nothing but a scam. I am not using Norton and have not used it for years. I have never used it on this computer. They tried billing me last year for $599.00. They are trying it again this year. Automatic billing and I do not have this service. I am contacting an attorney to report them for fraudulent billing.
