I brought my vehicle in for a potential recall on my 2016 Honda civic. Willie advised me that if the issue was the condenser I would get my $200 dollar refund for diagnostic. After the diagnostic was complete they told me my condenser was fine and that my evaporator was leaking. They charged for $200 for diagnostic and quoted me over $2,700 for parts and labor. I declined and got another opinion from caliber collision and they assured me that my evaporator was slightly leaking but my condenser was leaking like crazy. I called honda of Hollywood and spoke with Willie, he told me that he will not take another shops opinion and said i needed to go to another honda service shop, we ended the call by him saying, "they are going to tell you the same thing and charge you for diagnostic".I ended up taking my vehicle to north Hollywood honda, the service team there was much better. They gave me a free diagnostic and assured me that the condenser was in fact leaking. They even quoted me 35% less than honda of Hollywood. They also let me know that my condenser was replaced by the previous owner and only had 20k miles on it. I contacted honda corporate and reported a misdiagnosis and reported honda of Hollywood for lying and over quoting me. It's really horrible that these shops try and take advantage of people, I really hope honda corporate takes care of this issue.
