Student of Integrity Presentation 2021

History & Recipients of Southeast Texas Student of Integrity Awards

With a long history of providing scholarships within the local SETX area, in 2019 we began awarding through the Student of Integrity program.

BBB Serving Southeast Texas had previously sent a scholarship endowment to Lamar University, LIT and Lamar-Port Arthur. 2019 was the first year that students applied and were awarded directly through the BBB Consumer Education Foundation.

In 2019, the Consumer Education Foundation awarded 6 individual students $2500 each.  Unfortunately in 2020, due to the pandemic, only 2 students received the scholarship. However, after initially only award 4 students in 2021, the Foundation was able to provide an additional 2 students after a very successful fundraising event.
