Thank you Chris for being a bright light in the community.
The Excellence in Community Service Award is given to an individual who has shown unfailing dedication to serving the community and brings the core values set forth by the BBB to their everyday practices.
This year’s recipient is Paul Davis, President of Marble Depot.
A Component of the Annual BBB Torch Awards for Ethics
The Excellence in Community Service Award is given to those who have shown unfailing dedication to serving the community. Many can and do serve but the recipient of this award continually brings the core values set forth by the Better Business Bureau to everyday practices. The BBB’s Standards have always been high - standards that define who the BBB is and set forth valued qualities that speak to doing the right thing, making tough decisions that may not be popular with some but that serve the good of the community at large. Values such as Trust and Integrity. Values the BBB does not take lightly.
The BBB Torch logo represents a commitment and devotion to fairness and honesty. Businesses are proud to display our logo, not just because it draws in customers, but because it says something deeper about what they stand for. It is with this duty and conscience that we created the Excellence in Community Service Award to recognize those who bring these same Standards to their careers, personal lives, and service to others.
The Excellence in Community Service Award was developed in 2011 to expand BBB’s mission and reach in the community. The Excellence in Community Service Award embodies the same principles of the Torch Awards for Ethics, to illuminate the importance of corporate conscience and responsibility to upholding a fair and honest marketplace. The Excellence in Community Service Award recognizes those individuals who by their actions and behaviors exemplify those same standards. The Award recipients help bring awareness of ethics to every area of the community.
The Excellence in Community Service Award is a part of the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics program.
