BBB Serving the Fall Line Corridor Scholarship Application Process

Your BBB has spoken to over 12,000 students within the past 5 years.  Through these speaking engagements, we have been informed countless times that "everyone lies".  This widely repeated excuse has led to this year's Student of Integrity Scholarship essay topic.

 

2022 Essay Topic - "How can a liar, become a person of integrity?"  

 

The Middle Georgia Student of Integrity Award submission is for students residing in the following counties:

Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Crawford, Dodge, Dooly, Hancock, Houston, Johnson, Jones, Laurens, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Treutlen, Twiggs, Upson, Washington, Wilcox, and Wilkinson.

 

The Chattahoochee Valley Student of Integrity Award submission is for students residing in the following counties:

(GA) Baker, Ben Hill, Berrien, Calhoun, Chattahoochee, Clay, Colquitt, Cook, Crisp, Dougherty, Decatur, Early, Grady, Harris, Irwin, Lee, Macon, Marion, Miller, Mitchell, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Seminole, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Terrell, Thomas, Tift, Troup, Turner, Webster, and Worth

(AL) Barbour, Chambers, Lee, Russell

 

Eligibility:
Each student applying must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Attend a high school or homeschool in the above-mentioned counties.
  • Graduate during the 2021-2022 school year with plans to attend an accredited higher education institution,(University, College, Technical University) or become Active Duty Military.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen

 


The Judging Process

Winners will be selected by independent judges chosen by BBB. Judges will select the scholarship recipients based on their leadership, contributions to their communities and schools, personal integrity, letters of reference, and the written essay. Decisions of the judges are final.

 

Submissions - All submitted entries become the property of BBB and cannot be returned.

 

Middle Georgia Application Deadline: Friday, April 1, 2022, winners will be notified on Friday, April 29, 2022.

 

Chattahoochee Valley Application Deadline: Friday, April 1, 2022, winners, will be notified on Friday, April 29, 2022.

 

Expectations:

  1. Organize information into one up-loadable document. (Essay, Community Service, Leadership)
    • The essay should be no more than 1000 words - 2022 Essay Topic - "How can a liar, become a person of integrity?"
  2. Include in your up-loadable document: essay, proof of community service completed, a summary of leadership roles, reference letters, and any additional documents further representing you as an ethical scholar.
  3. Three (3) references from one of each: teacher/administrator, mentor/coach, and community leader
    • Reference Letters should be no more than 300 words.
  4. Acceptance Speech Prepared. Winners must be present at the event prepared with a no more than 1-minute acceptance speech highlighting the importance of and appreciation for the Student of Integrity Scholarship award and sponsor.
