Eligibility & Criteria

Torch Awards for Ethics eligibility

For-profit and 501(c)(6) applicants must have a B rating with BBB

501(c)(3) non-profit applicants must complete the Charitable Standards Evaluation process within 2 years and meet all BBB Standards for Charity Accountability

Organizations must have been in business for three years

Applicants are not eligible if they have received the BBB Torch Award for Ethics in the past 3 years

Government agencies are not eligible to submit an application

Who are the judges?

Entries are evaluated by an independent, voluntary panel of judges comprised of business and community leaders.

The judging panel will review the submissions in each of the three categories. Business submissions will compete in 1 of 3 categories:

 

  • Small category          01 - 05 employees
  • Mid-size category     06 - 19 employees
  • Large category          20+ employees
