BBB Trust Champion Award

The BBB Trust Champion Award recognizes an outstanding partner organization that has made the most significant impact in advancing BBB’s mission to promote a trusted marketplace. This annual award honors a key collaborator whose contributions have strengthened trust between businesses and consumers through innovation, information sharing, advocacy, or strategic support. The application is open until May 16, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

Evaluation criteria

Submissions and nominations will be evaluated based on the following key areas:

Award process

  • BBB staff, BBB Accredited Businesses, or external stakeholders can submit nominations.
  • A nomination form will be available through the BBB website and direct outreach to partners.
  • A selection committee, comprised of board members, will review submissions.
  • Top three finalists will be selected based on the evaluation criteria.
  • The selection committee will score each finalist and determine the winner.
  • Finalists may be invited for a discussion or presentation (if necessary) to showcase their impact, or requested to submit information to help the selection committee asses the reach and impact of the organization’s work---only as needed.
  • The winner will be announced at BBB’s Torch Awards for Ethics.
  • Recognition will include a feature on BBB’s website, press release, and social media spotlight.
  • The winner will be invited to collaborate with BBB on thought leadership initiatives.
  • BBB will work with the winner to further amplify their impact within the trust marketplace.
