BBB Mississippi 2026 Students of Integrity Scholarship contents

Here's a section-by-section breakdown of the scholarship application to help you put your best foot forward.

Section 1:  Application Information

Provide basic application information including the name of your high school, as well as contact information for your school counselor and parent/guardian.

Section 2:  Community involvement/Employment

List any volunteer or community engagement activities you have participated in, whether in school or within your community.

List any awards/honors you've received, or offices held and lenght of participation.

Provide basic information about any employment/work experience you've had during high school.

Section 3: Letters of reference

Provide contact information for letters of reference.  You'll want to select an individual who is not related to you and can speak about your integrity and character.

Section 4: Academic

Provide your official school transcripts.

Provide your ACT scores with an official test score copy.

Section 5: Essay

Write a concise essay (500 words) on your answers to the following questions:

  • Describe a situation where your moral convictions were challenged and you made the difficult decision because it was the right thing to do - despite the possible consequences.
  • How did you come to the decision and what as the outcome?
  • What or who has had an influence on the development of your integrity?

Your essay will be scored based on the following criteria:

  • The student's understanding of integrity (10pts)
  • The structure of the essay (10pts)
  • The essay correctly answers the questions (10pts)
  • The originality of the essay (10pts)

Be sure to avoid cliche examples such as cheating unless you have a unique take on the dilemma.

Section 6: Post secondary plans

Provide the name of the college/university or technical school you plan to attend and your intended major.

Describe what you plan to achieve with your post secondary education.

Section 7: Student & guardian signatures

Provide both you and your parent/guardian signatures.
