The Awards for Marketplace Excellence promote the importance of ethical business pracitices as well as the efforts made by outstanding businesses to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honorable.
The awards celebrate those businesses that epitomize corporate responsibility and always strive to do what's right by their customers.

Winners will be announced at the virtual event on Wednesday, Nov. 10. BBB will also acknowledge newly inducted President's Club members and offer special recognition for this year's Marketplace Excellence Awards finalists.

BBB of Central New England has announced that Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital, Mercadante Funeral Home and Melody L. Beach Consulting Group are the top winners at this year's 2021 Awards for Marketplace Excellence.

The businesses were recognized during a Virtual Awards for Marketplace Excellence ceremony, Dec. 8, along with other award recipients.
Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH), located in South Deerfield, is Accredited Business of the Year. It has been open since 2006 and has seen almost daily growth. With a state-of-the-art facility and 24/7 emergency capabilities, VESH is home to over 120 employees. VESH is dedicated to supporting veterinarians and providing compassionate and exceptional care for their patients.

Mercadante Funeral Home won the award for Mid-Sized Business of the Year. Mercadante has been serving the Worcester community since 1961. Their commitment to community goes well beyond the funeral service. Melody L. Beach Consulting Group, based in Southbridge, won Small Business of the Year. Melody L. Beach Consulting provides human resource services for businesses in Central and Eastern Massachusetts. With over 20 years of HR Support experience, the company can support both on-site and virtual services.

This year, BBB of Central New England also presented Sustained Excellence Awards to two businesses who had been honored previously for their commitment to excellence. Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding, of South Hadley, and Yankee Home Improvement, of Chicopee, took home those prestigious awards.

Other finalists honored for their continued commitment to the BBB mission and upholding the BBB Standards for Trust were:
Arvanitis, Phelan & Molta, P.C., of Springfield; Belchertown Eye Care & Sunglass Shop; Bert Hill Mover, of Westfield; Floor Source, Inc., of Auburn; J Smegal Roofing, of Lenox; Moura's Cleaning Service of Fitchburg; Nandy's Cleaning Services, of Paxton; Northeast Home & Energy, of Grafton; and Stellato Bros., of Feeding Hills.
BBB also honored nine Accredited Businesses that had successfully achieved 30 years of Accreditation and were being inducted into the President’s Club:

White & Associates, P.C., of Worcester; The Feingold Companies, of Worcester; and Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
