    Rocky Top Air came to my house to provide a quote for cleaning and sealing air ducts. Their employees walked through my house and evaluated my air conditioning system and gave me a $1800 quote. I agreed to the quote and the work to be started as soon as possible. Over a 3 month period, they came to my house three times and their equipment failed each time and their employees spent hours at my house trying to fix their equipment. During the last visit, they attempt to seal the air ducts in my basement which is the smallest part of the house. I was next to them when they were sealing them and the computer kept giving error messages over and over. I expressed concern to the employees multiple times that it's not working -- the sealant glue was spraying all over my basement garage and not the air duct system. At the end, one of the employees closed off a tube that connected the machine to the air duct and therefore falsely elevating the pressure and stated that the air ducts were sealed. I am very intelligent and I how pressures and graphs work -- I told the employee that if you block off the tube that connects to the air ducts, the computer will measure the pressure increase in the tube because you're blocking it off. It's not measuring the pressure in the entire system, it's only measuring the pressure in the blocked tube. Nevertheless, they did not have time to finish the rest of the ducts in the house. I called their company numerous times over a 6 month period requesting that they come out and finish the job with working equipment. After numerous attempts at trying to get them to come do the job, I gave up -- I figured they did not have the working equipment needed to complete a job they agreed to. Months later, they are now stating that I owe them $1800 -- but they did not clean and seal the ducts. They attempted to seal the basement ducts which failed in a disaster. The rest of the house where people are, those ducts remain unsealed etc.

    I have had the maintenance agreement with Rocky Top for about 20 years. I have never had a bad experience with the technicians. They are very polite and knowledgeable. I had my winter check up yesterday and the technician Tim was really nice and informative. He explained what he was checking and why the entire time. He was here about an hour and a half as we have two units. He checked both units inside and outside. I can’t even imagine being without their help. I have also had to call them when a unit went out and they came right away to help. I am really pleased with everyone I have been in contact with.
