    If I could, I would not leave any stars at all but I have to. I would never use this company. My husband and I contracted them for a surveying project. We contacted them by phone on August 2, 2021. I received an email from office personal stating the price was $700 for the work and it would be done in 6-8 weeks. I stated emailing Debbie around the end of Sept. She would always tell me she would send my email to the manager. I emailed Debbie again in Oct. and was told again that she would send email to manager. On Nov 18, 2021 I email Debbie regarding the disappointment in the company and on Nov 19, 2021 I received a call from the manager at Sterling. He immediately informed me they would not provide this service for me and I needed to contact someone else. I said to him "you mean to tell me I was expecting service from you since August and now you are telling me I need to go somewhere else." He said that exactly what I am telling you. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I feel like they are liars.

    Sterling has been in business since 1979 and pride ourselves on providing value and service to our customers. Like most other businesses, our company has unfortunately seen significantly longer timeframes for completion of survey and engineering services based on the lack of staff and the significant volume of work being requested. The survey referenced in this review was on the survey schedule and close to being started at the time of the last call referenced in the review. The survey manager stated that the customer was angry and belligerent during the call and he did, in fact, tell her that we did not work for people with that type of attitude and demeanor toward our staff. With the effects of the pandemic and staff out with COVID, our schedule was (and still is) very dynamic and we were doing everything that we could to get the customer the survey that they requested. It is unfortunate that we were not able to complete the survey so that they could experience the quality of work that Sterling is known for.

    I'm sorry but the survey manager did not in fact tell me that they did not work for people with that type of attitude and demeanor toward our staff. He also never said anything about them being short- handed. I had my phone on speaker, so my husband heard the entire conversation. Infact he was very belligerent to me and started the conversation with "I guess you don't have time to talk to me" and that wasn't the case. I very much wanted to talk to him until I realized how his attitude was going to be. I feel this is the worse survey company in the entire state of Tennessee!
