      The sales department was great and it was a seamless buying experience. The service department is absolutely horrible. I took my car in for a glitch in ac. They filled it up with freon which it didn’t need and then charged me over ****. Then 2 days later the air was out again and it was what we told them in the first place. They quoted me ***** to fix one piece of the compressor. Didn’t offer to refund the ****. Then they ignored our calls asking about a timeline for quote. They finally called us 5 days later with the outrageous quote. Scam artist alert!

      My 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe sport has been at Grayson Hyundai since 2/17/2023 for a recall on the engine and has of 3/20/2023 they still haven’t done a diagnostic test on it when I called at 9:20am on 3/20/2023 Brad the service manager said it was going to be 1 to 2 weeks before they get it my car leaving me to bum rides back and forth to work because they don’t have a borrow car I asked why taking so long he relied they only do 2 diagnostics a week you would think with all these recalls they would do a better job after reading some of the reviews I can’t wait to see what they come up with on my car but I was smart enough to get a diagnostic test done before it had to be towed to Grayson Hyundai in Knoxville on Kingston pike and I really don’t appreciate being lied too when the case manager at Hyundai said Brad had tried to call me and got no answer and when I confronted him to make sure he had the right number and he did I told him I had not received 1 call from him he then said he would call when the diagnostic was done hire a few more people to get the recalls underway

      I took my 2011 Hyundai Sonata to Grayson Hyundai due to not getting the engine to start. I explained to them that I had already tried all the ways of getting to the problem even by removing the starter from the engine and testing the starter. There was nothing wrong with the starter or the starter solenoid. I replaced the battery. I even installed a new starter relay. Still same problem. I was cordially received and treated with respect and commutated what was needed. I asked if it would be ok to request a car wash The technician found starter will not engage. Engine is not seized. Need to replace starter and retest. I received a call from the Service Advisor telling me they needed to replace the starter. I told him there was nothing wrong with the current starter. He said the technician said it needed a new starter. They installed the new starter ($483.51). Evidently it did not start and they had do a diagnostic retest. They found the starter wire connector was broken and replace starter solenoid wire connector ($22.65). The car was started several times. They did not reinstall the original starter but I had to pay $483.51 dollars for a new starter that I didn't need in the first place. I had already told them it was NOT the starter to begin with. Now! How can I get my good starter put back in and get my $483.51 refund??? Oh! I also have to take my car back for them to fix the cabin fan that now runs continuously with the engine NOT running and key removed. I did get a great car wash.

      Grayson Hyundai Subaru Oct 30, 2023 Roxann This dealership sucks. I’m so mad ?? I can’t ever explain the headache. I’m 71 female from SC my car over heated in Tennessee when I went to drive my brother to some surgical things done. On my way home so I got to the motel and had my car towed there. I told them the over heating light was flashing.red and blue. They said they would run a diagnostic on it and that would be $165.00 Then Adam came and told me the engine was blown and it would cost $8,000-10,000 to replace. I knew they were lying The tow truck guy delivered me and my car 1:00 in the afternoon. I was there until 7:50 at night. My brother came and picked me up and took me back to Greenville SC Three hours then he drove straight back to his home in Tenn. The next I googled what would make the red and blue light flash. I called my brother and told him what that meant and he called Auto Zone ask if they had the part. It was only $23.00 for the part. He drove back to the dealership and had that part put on my car in fifteen minutes. He left his truck next door. Made sure it was okay with owner. Drove my car to me and I’ve been driving it for over two weeks no issues. Then the next day my daughter drove him back to Tennessee to his truck in Knoxville. We have tried for two weeks to get our money back. They keep telling us they will check on it and call us back. NO CALLS back. What a bunch of crooks. I am reporting them to the better business. I couldn’t look myself in the mirror if I treated people the way they. I’m done trying to call them anymore. I just had three major surgeries and I don’t need this kind of stress.       Grayson Subaru Honda I used car department ********* ****** Bought an extended warranty two years ago went to use it after six months found out. Grayson had not paid the warranty company for the warranty. Had a big fight with them was able to get the contract re-written for the extended warranty took my warranty to a next level higher pay than $500. Got a new contract went to use my contract the second time same thing happened. Grayson did not pay the warranty company and warranty company has no record of me doing a contract I have the contracts I have the the payment record of $500 on top of what I have already paid a total of $1950 took my car to get fixed last week no contract again. This is number three had to pay $1500 to the Kia dealership because the contract company would not except or pay for work done. Call the contract company again for my extended warranty. No record will not honor. The contract said they never received the funds number three this time Grayson won’t even give me the time of day. The general manager said will prove it went to a lawyer I proved it now having to take Grayson to court because they say it’s not their fault and the warranty company says they have no contract and no payment. This is three times it’s happened and every time it’s been grace and holding onto the funds. Well now Grayson’s gonna have to pay for not only the contract that I’ve paid $1900 for but they’re going to also have to pay for the repairs they’re going to pay for my lawyers fees and whatever else I can get them for because I’m not gonna sit down for this anymore, I have bought in the last five years between me and my kids six brand new Subarus, but they don’t care. They rather not have my business anymore. Do not shop at Grayson. They have no loyalty towards our customers. They don’t care about customer loyalty. I’ve never seen such a ******r company. At this point my Lawrence will deal with it buyer beware. Also will contact attorney general.

      I gave over my car on October 29th of last year. I've now put $5000 and had my car released to me twice only to have it towed back both times on my dime. In the initial processing in October, they lost my car in the lot. I was having issues with the push start recognizing my key. The first stint in the shop lasted until December, where they told me that my car was good to go. I had it towed back for the exact same problem once again, where the new associate let me know that now my "brakes are so bad my tech won't drive it". I didn't get communication really until May of this year that the key fob computer needed to be replaced and was frying all the work they'd just done. They released the car to me last Tuesday with new brakes and a new battery on top of the computer work and within 10 minutes of driving I had to get it towed back yet again for another issue. They told me I'd "get answers in 24 hours." I didn't get any communication until I called yesterday. It's now a completely different issue. This dealership has released an unsafe car to me not once, but twice. I've done nothing but trust their technicians and give them money. I'm quite literally at my wits end. This review doesn't even include the issues I've had getting alternate transportation or their refusal on the first stint getting an invoice of all the work they'd done. I'm so disappointed that their "satisfaction guarantee" which includes "respecting my time, doing everything to help, keep promises, and make doing business easy" amongst a very long other list of things they haven't done doesn't seem to matter.

      My trust has been broken AND my door handle was broken by the service tech. I took my 2011 Subaru to Grayson because my Check Engine light was coming on sporadically. The tech could not find the problem BUT I was offered a replacement oxygen sensor for $500 + "just in case that is the problem". I declined and was told that I would be charged another $165 diagnostic fee if I brought the car in for the same problem. To the tech's credit, he told Adam M (who had checked me in) not to charge the diagnostic fee this time. The car was pulled up to the check out area and I started to leave. Adam M rushed up to the window and said he needed the I.D. card attached to my interior review mirror. Everything was fine until I pulled into my home garage and COULD NOT GET OUT OF THE CAR!! The interior door handle was broken. Now the only way I can get out of my car is to roll down the window, reach and pull the exterior door handle, hold the door open with my leg, roll the window back up (for security) and exit. The inside door handle was NOT broken when I arrived at the service shop. I have since called and requested to (first) speak with Adam M, then two calls to leave messages for the service manager to call me back concerning the broken handle. Two weeks later, I have not received a call. I also emailed the service manager, Steve K*********, twice relating the problem, but again have not even received an acknowledgement from anyone from Grayson.

      I bought a new Subaru from ******* a little over 5 years ago. The first 4 years taking the vehicle to them for service were ok (they found nail holes in tires about once a year on average so that I had to buy new tires 4x more often then I had in the previous 12 years in Knoxville with two vehicles from a Toyota dealership here, but ok). The real problems started in this last year in the body shop, which I needed for two fender benders. The first time wasn't too bad (the work took 2x longer than they said it would, communication was not good, & I only got the car back in 30 days because I pushed for it, but work was done well in the end). The second time, however, was awful. The work took 3x longer than they said it would, communication was extremely bad again, they never offered a loaner even though they knew my insurance only covered 30 days of a rental, & work was not done well (some problems were never fixed properly, including my driver's seat that they badly damaged), & the body shop manager will treat you very badly if you express unhappiness with any of it. I didn't get to finish my second sentence in telling him what was happening before he called me a "liar" and then told me that the problem was my attitude and shouted at me to "get out." And they took $160 from my insurance company months ago for a part that they never gave me & probably never will. A few weeks later, when I went to the service department because the vehicle needed basic maintenance, the service manager decided he wanted to be a part of the problems I'd had with the body shop (that he never needed to be a part of) and refused to provide maintenance for my vehicle. I needed 4 new tires (because they found a nail hole again). He told me to go to Pep Boys. The entire experience was so bad that my wife wants me to sell the Subaru and never buy another one again. 0/5 stars.

      That response confirms the total indifference for the quality of their work, for keeping their word, for treating customers well, or for basic integrity from this dealership & its body shop & service department. If you buy a vehicle from them like I did & need them for anything, expect the experience to be awful and to get your vehicle back (eventually) with problems that should never have existed. I've already taken my business elsewhere and strongly suggest others avoid them.

      Car was dropped off for a repair from an accident. Insurance company approved repairs within a day. It took ******* Hyundai 5 weeks for the repair which put me over on the rental. I called several times before the rental would expire to see if we could figure something out. No one would return my call. They never touched my car for 3 weeks before starting the repair. They also did not call me to tell me they would take that long to even start it. The only excuse given was they were backed up. When pressed why they didn't call me; they had no reason. Manager of body shop and dealership told me they would not pay any towards the additional rental.

      I would give this dealership zero Stars if I could, I bought a car from there, yes I bought it "as is", but did that having full confidence that the car would last longer than 3 weeks! They wanted a very large down payment, they wanted a very short-term lease, which leads me to believe that they knew this car wouldn't last and sold it to me anyways, I called and spoke to Shannon Bowlin used car manager (spelling) because any good dealership should help with the repairs if it's been less than a month, of course I knew he would say "you signed 4 papers stating AS IS" oh **** probably comment back that "they make no guarantees to anybody and that they don't even check the vehicles before they put them on the lot" which is kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Anyways I paid $3,000 down and now have to try within a month pay another thousand to get my car out of the shop, this is just straight up bad business, some ethics and integrity and tell you not to buy the car if they think it's going to breakdown, he told me "AS IS" supposed to be a warning not to buy it, I'M supposed to know that?... I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO AT THIS DEALERSHIP!

      UPDATE****" I'M ADDING THIS ON TOP OF THE REVIEW BECAUSE  IT'S IMPORTANT. I PICKED MY CAR UP FROM THE MECHANIC TODAY AND FOUND OUT SOMETHING INTERESTING ON TOP OF WHAT WAS ALREADY DONE TO ME, THEY STRAIGHT UP LIED TO MY FACE, WHEN I TEST DROVE THE CAR I NOTICED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS SITTING AWKWARDLY HIGH SO I ASKED ABOUT IT, I WAS TOLD THAT "WHOEVER OWNED IT PREVIOUSLY HAD THE MECHANIC ADJUST IT LIKE THAT" WELL UPON PICKUP I MENTIONED THAT TO THE MECHANIC AND SHE SAID "ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE, THAT THE CLUTCH WAS SO BADLY DAMAGED IS WHY." (HAD TO HAVE MY WHOLE CLUTCH EVERYTHING WITH IT REPLACED) SO THEY DEFINITELY SOLD ME THAT CAR KNOWING THAT IT WAS DAMAGED!
