********* ** * ***** **** ** ***** * ****** *** ******** ***** **** ******* ******* * **** **** **** ***** Their customer service is terrible ******* *** ************* employees with the extremely RARE employee that is understanding and attempts to work with you in a hardship. They charge an amount for a missed payment that is stupid high. Their employees mainly have no idea what they are doing cannot even give me a proper amount of what is due I have been given 4 different totals to what is owed. Even when I wasn't past due I had issues with them. Their customer service lacks ** *** *** *** ******* *** ***** *********. ia claims 11 NSF's @$100 each with unfamiliar dates that do not correspond with payment due dates. Essentially double charging each month **** ****** ** ***** ********* **** ** *** In the end over a 4 month period , of the 8 payments made , none were recorded and i was still charged $800 NSF plus a demand for another 8 payments . ********** ********** *******. I lost my employment after 4 months of making payments. Called customer service about my situation and ended up speaking to a manager and while he afforded me options, since then the continuous calls and getting different information from different customer service reps is frustrating enough, but when I contacted them to let them know I found employment today and in 2 weeks when I get paid I can continue to make my regular payments. This wasn't good enough, it escalated to a "manager" named Adam, who said if I don't make arrangements in regards to the past due even though I will be making my regular payments they will still reposses the vehicle. This person was ****, accusatory, *******, and didn't want to resolve this matter in the only way I can financially. So in the end I would be making my regular payments and still lose my car due to the 3 missed payments that I can't make up currently. This company sent a bailiff out to repo my vehicle they had no court ordered warrant , gave no warning and never once tried ti contact me about a payment plan to catch up. I called them when the bailiff was at my home and the woman who answered the telephone hung up on me. I have tried comminicating several times with the bailiff and IA and they ignore me. To make matters worse the Bailiff showed up at my home with a female in the vehicle she had access to my personal information and he refuses to identify her, only saying she is his secretary ***** ** ****** This company also claims i have 37 NSFs and my bank has no record at all of 37NSFs . I refused to give them my vehicle without the proper paperwork. I’ve used 1a auto a couple of times. The prices are good and they’re parts are decent. Recently I did have an issue with one of their parts after about a year installed on the vehicle. I called them up and within 20 minutes they had new parts sent out said they’d be here on Monday ended up showing up the Friday before. Wanted to pay loan off, sent a cheque in and they keep giving me a run around.Cheque has been delivered and they won't go pick it up at the post office.. Here they are adding money on everyday when I could have my loan paid off. When you call them to check status they say that they can't do anything... It's coming on 2 weeks that I've been waiting, and I can't even get my new vehicle till this is resolved..iA Auto Finance Response

Thank you for bringing to us your concerns. We understand how stressful the transition can be between loans while waiting for the lump sum to arrive. We appreciate that you had sent the cheque and kept in touch with us. While the mailing process of third parties, including ***********, are outside of our control, we are always looking for ways to refine our process with them. We currently are unable to pick up deliveries from their office which is why the current steps exists: to ensure safe and timely delivery of sensitive packages such as the cheque you sent. We are evaluating what we can do on our side to improve the experience moving forward.
We are happy to confirm that the cheque arrived as of Wednesday, June 15th, 2022. To assist with the interest during the delivery, we have requested the cheque to be back-dated to June 8th, ensuring no interest is charged from after that point for that portion of the balance.

I wanted to pay off my finance loan earlier than the contract agreed upon. I did my running around and followed the directions from the call center. I went to my bank and got a draft for the account they told me to direct deposit into the account number at the bank they use. I was told to call back and tell one of their agents. So I did all that. BTW this was on the 9 of Nov 2021. Fast forward to the evening of the 22nd of Nov 2021, I go in to buy a a new vehicle and trade in my existing CRV. The finance person at the dealership tells me I have a lien on my CRV. So I am a bit confused what is going on. So I call customer service of IA on the 23rd to get this resolved. I was told to get the receipt of the transaction from the 9th and send it to their personal phone or work cell...and was told it would get resolved by the 25th of Nov. So come the 25th nothing happens. I call IA again, was told nothing has changed. Was still being told that I owe the company money. I was told 3 times by 3 different people that 3 different mangers would be in contact with me to get this resolve, was also told that this could take up to 7 business days.*********I am currently still waiting...I have paid my account in full and this company does not want to send a confirmation letter or end my contract with them. I feel like I'm being held hostage.
I will keep calling.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand how frustrating it is when processes, especially around large sums of money, take longer than expected. In many cases, we offer temporary documentation to act as proof of the payout being received if everything is complete aside from the final release of the lien. The primary delay here was insufficient information provided by the bank on the draft we received. We appreciate your cooperation in providing proof of the transaction so that we could identify the funds and apply them to your account.

Constant phone calls. Been paying for 4 years 8 months no problem then I couldn't make a payment and the daily calls began. I've been paying 22 % interest for 5 years. 4 months left. **************** Tell me to make a payment or else. Will not endorse this company.
