I had called Teague electric for a bid on having work done to my home. I was told they didn't do work in my location. Then I receive a call from a man named ***** who said that work was slow and he would like to come out and give me a bid on what I needed done. He never said anything about charging me for a bid. They sent a tech on 11/05/2021 and in the middle of looking at what I needed done he said did they tell you there is a $220.00 charge for coming out. NO he did not. The tech went to his truck and made a call and came back and said sorry but I have to charge you but if you have the work done we will take it off your bill. So I paid him and he said I would get an estimate in the mail. Today 12/01/2021 I called the company due to never reciving a bid talked to ***** and she put me on hold for 6mins and came back and said sorry I dont know what happened but from the techs notes it looks like it would be $1745.00. The bid was never worked up. I said that if it has taken almost a mo for and I have not recived anything in writing and I had to call the company myself, I did not feel that I could trust the company to do any work. And I had paid for a bid I never received and would like a refund. She said she would have to talk to ***** and he was out on a sevice call. I ask if I could speak with him my self, she said yes hi would be back this afternoon. The she said oh wait someone just said he is on vacation and wont be back for a week. Sounds like a scam to me. I just want my money back.
