Bank Midwest in St. Joseph, MO starting hitting our account with a bunch of FEES! We went in to close the account because they were absolutely absurd. They finally finagled a deal that because my spouse was a Veteran that they would waive the fees and give us free checks for his account. We were told that in the even we try to close the account all of those FEES would have to be collected! That was their way to keep us as customers. We have used 1 box of checks in 5 years. I need checks. I called to get another box of checks and was told, "Well, things change and you are no longer eligible for free checks." So we are FORCED to hold up to our end of the bargain, but they don't have to. This is how you honor a Veteran! WOW! IF "things really do change", then the fees from 4-5 years ago should be dropped and let us go somewhere with free checking for Veterans. How can they say they "value our business" and treat him like that? Is this honest in any way? NO! I feel like this is a breach of contract! Why would I stay with a company who wants to lie and manipulate to keep me?Review from Tammy S

I have reached out to your customer service several times with zero response. When I called the branch directly I was treated rudely. I had an overdraft and all your person did was try to sell me overdraft protection. You don't post in a timely manner and then you froze my card even though I had plenty of $$ in my account and you didn't even bother to tell me!!! I was mortally embarrassed trying to use my card only to be told it was declined. I realize I'm a small fish in a big pond and therefore I probably don't matter. It won't be a loss for them when I take my business elsewhere.

A message and email was sent to ******* requesting he call the Director of sales. We would like additional information regarding *******s experience and to learn what happened with his Social Security number.
