On October 11th, I accepted a bid from Dry Basement Foundation **** to address foundation issues in the dining room area of my house. *****************************, the company representative, suggested that by sinking four metal supports in the east and south parts of the dining area, they could prevent further settling and address related symptoms such as a window not opening and a sliding door becoming difficult to use. The estimated cost for this work was $8,588, and I agreed to proceed, signing a contract based on the assurance of high-quality service.Regrettably, upon completion of the work on October 30th, my house suffered extensive damages, some irreparable. The company crew seemed to have deviated from ************************ specified level of lifting, raising the foundation walls up-and-down in a trial-and-error fashion beyond necessity. This resulted in breaks and cracks in sheetrock at multiple locations, cracks and gaps in floor grout lines, buckled ceiling, buckled flooring, buckled walls, the sliding door originally tilted due to settlement, remains difficult to open freely, and most alarmingly, irreparable cracks or breaks in the concrete foundation walls at least in two places; the promised quality service was not delivered and despite being very obvious, ************************ response to my concerns was dismissive, stating that those outcomes were expected! I am deeply disappointed by the company's nonchalant attitude towards the grievances of its customers.I request a partial refund from Dry Basement Foundation ****, along with an additional amount to account for the negative impact the visible crack on the concrete foundation walls would have on the value of my property.
