I hired Dan Hanell Construction because they are supposed to be a reputable company. I unfortunately signed a contract last year based on lies from their sales representative whom assured my husband and myself that sub contractors ARE NEVER USED for siding. He said that they took pride in their siding work which is why they only use their employees.I have to go back to the fall of 2020 when we had the contract to do our roof and siding signed to explain that Hanell Construction has put us in danger not once but twice and not only could have blown up our home but their recklessness could have lead to a loss of lives. This happened when their roofers (whom I WAS told are always sub contracted) threw roofing off and ripped the gas vent from my water heater right off which led to a gas leak. At this point I had to pay a contractor on a Sunday to come in and repair it and like the other complaint lodged against them, if there is a problem they will not respond.Spring forward to October 2021, Hanell Construction sent subcontractors for the siding and did not give me the option to cancel the contract even though ********************* stood at our home and told us that under no circumstances would a subcontractor be allowed to do siding. First day on the job, Hanell Construction's subcontractor once again put myself and my family in danger by ripping out the gas out take vent again! It was cold but I had to open every window to air out my home.This company hires subcontractors that are reckless and could potentially kill or injure people. We have been beyond traumatized by these gas leaks and am terrified to ever have work done again due to this companies actions.They want full price for the work that given a chance to break the contract, I could have hired this no name company off the street for less money and at least my trauma would be of my own making not of Hanell Construction's making.
