World trips is a pure unadulterated scam. Fail to respond fail to pay out of travel related issues and provide nothing but excuses. Had 182 day policy and still waiting five months later for them to process my claim.

Do not use this service. I paid for travel insurance a year ago for a trip to ******. During that trip, I got really sick and went to the hospital. The bill is about 6k and they refuse to tell me if my claim is covered without seeing a receipt proving that I have paid the bill. The whole point of paying for travel insurance is so that you don't have to stress about paying large bills out of pocket and what does the hospital treatment I received have anything to do with how I pay the bill?? It's been almost a year and I am still going back and forth with them trying to get this solved. Most people do not have that kind of money readily available and what if the bill had been 100k? Do they really expect ppl to pay for it and then be reimbursed? And the worst part is they won't even say if your claim is approved or not. Should people take out loans to pay these bills that the insurance is supposed to cover and then hope that the insurance company will be gracious enough to pay for what they are legally liable for?? Not to mention everything goes to a generic email if you decide you are sick of dealing with the online portal that results in automated responses after weeks of the claim sitting. Save your money and go somewhere else. Would NOT recommend.

?? (Scam in Japanese) I purchased World Trips / Atlas for our team of 8 people traveling to *********** for a Friday evening in July 2023. Due to severe thunderstorms, they delayed our flight 3 times before they finally canceled it out of ***************. (******, **). Our team waited in line for 4 hours to reach customer service to find out that the next United flight to *********** was 5 days later. We had scheduled events for the whole week so 5 days later would not work. United refunded our canceled flight and we went home. The next day we booked a flight with Avianca for Sunday. So technically our trip was a cancelation/interruption/delay - supposedly all covered under the Atlas plan. Since we rented a very small hotel in ***********, we still had to pay for the rooms that we rented. So we paid for Fri. night, and Sat. night without staying there. We also had to pay a higher-than-usual rate for 3 different Ubers to get back home at 3 am. Then we had to pay to go to the airport at *** in ******** on Sunday. When I filed a claim with World Trips I waited for 3 months to hear I was rejected. The rejection said: Reason Code Description: 13 Patient not eligible for coverage on the date of service. They rejected me for a medical claim when I put in for a trip interruption claim. When I called them the woman said that I didn't meet the medical coverage date! I told them this was a trip interruption. She kept on pointing to a medical claim, laughed at me, and said you are not going to get paid!! I tried appealing 2 other times, sending them all types of "requested" documents, but to no avail. Despite all the ******************** I sent them, they again rejected the claim that "this service is not covered under the Trip interruption plan." YET, if you read the Atlas flyer, and see the documents requested, I am *********** a claim. Based on over 100 Yelp reviews, you can see that this is a company that sells policies but does not pay out.

We missed 4 ports of call on a trip to *******, *********, and ****** because of weather. Our ship was delayed 48 hours on the very first day and then we missed 2 more ports of call during the trip. I filed a claim with documentation from the cruise line that clearly stated it was a weather delay/issue but my claim was denied because we were already onboard the ship! I've used many other travel insurance providers and a missed port of call was ALWAYS covered under the trip interruption clause. We checked the other policies and the language was the same as in the World Trips policy so they just didn't want to pay for a set of circumstances that clearly was a trip interruption

I bought insurance from WorldTrips (Atlas plan) via VisitorsCoverage. They sold a bogus insurance policy to me. I paid for 6 months upfront for a very expensive premium. I had to go to an ****** care, the bill was $475 and they paid $120 only, I had to pay the rest. Then on Apr 3 (3rd month of the policy) , I went to a specialist and the bill was $186. To this date, they have not paid - my policy expired now and they wanted me to renew it. I asked them to cancel my policy in Apr end/early *** multiple times (to both VisitorsCoverage as well as the WorldTrips and they denied saying that there is a claim pending. They won't pay the claim amount to specialist as well. So my hands were tied behind my back. I wanted to cancel, but they did not let me and also they did not pay the claim. So after paying $2200 in premium , they just paid $120 to 1 provider. This is a scam. you should run away from both VisitorsCoverage and WorldTrips. On top of it, their Customer Success Manager ****** does not understand and want to read communication, but wanted me to renew. I had to tell her to stop this unfair practice and ask for my premium refund from April and she said they can not. Look at this audacity - they want you renew, but won't pay for claims, won't pay the claim so you can not cancel. This is reported to BBB as well..Please avoid this scam.

WorldTrips/Atlas Insurance/UnitedHealthCare denied our claim for unknown prexisting condition. We submit the year old complete medical checkup report which indicate no such condition. Its humman body, alot might going in inside which may not be know on time of travel and sudden condition come up and this insurance company just take advantage of medical terms. I will not recomend this company to any one. Even after explaining many times that condition was never discover earlier they did not consider our calim at all.If you still buying then Please be careful if you buying no pre-existing covergae from this company, its a loop hole where they will provde that this condition happaned over time so not getting covere even though you are not diagnozed with such condition at time of purchace

SCAM! We bought insurance for 12 months from them and unfortunately we had to use medical care that we paid for being assured they will review the claims and everything will be figured out. Complete liars, you either wait to get an email for 2-3 month or they tell you they need the information again, or that you didn't submit it correctly so now you wait another 2-3 months and then they close the claim because you didn't do it right. I guess they avoid any and all responsibility. Please spread the word! I am going to take them to BBB and their state ******************************* Who knows, maybe someone will do something about those greedy people getting rich on peoples misfortune.I also think they need internal investigation, because on a lot of websites they show as 5 star, but you cant really go on those websites and review them. Something is very fishy!

Paid for coverage. ****** care was supposed to be $15 copay. The facility charged for labs and Worldtrips sent EOB for $15 for the urgent care and $93 for labs and Quest sent bill for $206. All this for what was contractually supposed to be a $15 visit. This Worldtrips is a scam. They said that when the provider sent it multiple bills for the same date of visit to urgent care they processed them rather than saying to the provider that the copay is only $15 and no more to the patient. The provider (CityMD) said that because Worldtrips didn't dispute the ********* charges that it's valid. It's an entire scam. Worldtrips should be avoided at all costs.

Someone fraudulently used my debit card information to purchase a medical insurance policy from World Trips in their name in the amount of $432.59. I was devastated when I discovered through my bank about what the transaction was for. First of all, I don't travel overseas, second how they even got my financial information, third how they purchased in someone else's name with my financial information. This may not seem like a lot of money to some, but when you are on a fixed income, it is. Not certain to me what type of new scammers are either affiliated with World Trips OR how someone even got my financial information.

WorldTrips/Atlas Insurance/UnitedHealthCare is one gigantic fraud. Bought this for my mom who escaped from ******* and arrived with pneumonia. They denied all claims. Doctors, testing, labs, medicine - all of it. The doctor's ****** complained that they kept requesting documentation for the visit, which the doctor's ****** submitted electronically ( not by mail or fax). And then I would get a bill saying the claim was closed due to lack of documentation. Thank G-d for all the wonderful doctors who either paid, or discounted or written off some of the bills. Do not buy insurance for WorldTrips. Use the money for your immediate needs.
