I was informed that my hospital **** was sent to collections in Oct 2021. I had an agreement with my hospital for payments, was paying on time, but they somehow have turned it over to Med Shield **** I sent a Validation Letter request to Med Shield as per normal legal procedure. I did so on Oct 18th 2021 via certified mail as standard legal procedure. The letter sat in Med Shield's P.O. BOX for almost 4 weeks and after talking with the postal service in ************, they told me they informed Med Shield twice that they had a letter, but it was refused and not picked up. It is not legal for a legitimate collections agency to dismiss this action during this process - I have all the documents. I no longer want Med Shield to contact me by phone or any other way. This company is shady and illegal. I legally had a 30 day window to respond with a certified letter. I received a letter from them Oct 10, 2021 and I had until Nov 10th, 2021 to request a Validation Letter. Again, I sent a certified Validation Letter Request to Med Shield, they did not respond or sign for it after I waited a month, and my Letter was returned to me as Unclaimed by the ****** Med Shield has no claims against me for any monies owed and cannot *** me for any funds as they have not followed the standard legal courses of action. I want no further contact by this 'business'. Also Med Shield is not registered or known by the ***** ************************************ when I tried to report them.
