I took my classic car to ********************** to have the headliner and front and rear windshields installed. I already had the parts as I had originally planned on doing the work myself but realized I was in over my head. After the work was completed I stopped by a car wash on the way home to clean off the dirt since I had it in storage prior to dropping it off with KAU and as I'm washing the car both front and rear windshields had water pouring in around them similar to Niagra Falls. I immediately called them and told them of the problem and was told they couldn't get me in for a week or two due to scheduling which was ok since we were leaving on vacation the next morning.Upon returning from vacation I called them again and was told "scheduling issues, we'll call you". This went on for several more weeks and I finally stopped by on July 3rd at which time they started making excuses about why it wasn't there fault, how they had cut me a deal, how they didn't make any money on **** up since I provided the materials, their schedule was full, it was my fault because I didn't specify that it required a special sealant, yadda yadda yadda. Again more promises of "we'll call you". That weekend the wife and I pulled the windshields out and found that the rear windshield gasket was installed backwards and the front one had a big wad of green painters tape jammed in the channel that provides the seal.At the July 3rd in person visit they assured me again that they were going to make it right and would follow up in a week to schedule the work. the call never came. Not surprised.Nobody is perfect; EVERYBODY makes mistakes but the true **** of a person's character is how they respond when things don't go right. In this case their character shown its true colors.
