  • Home repair businesses – We strongly urge you check with the BBB first before hiring a business to do repairs on your property. Go to www.bbbhouston.org and search for a business category or a specific business. We also strongly urge you to hire a BBB Accredited Business first. Accredited Businesses have gone through extra levels of scrutiny and background checks.
  • Storm Chasers – You can surely expect to see an influx of out-of-town home repair businesses in the area for several weeks. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The BBB recommends you check our website at www.bbbhouston.org to find information on any business that approaches you. If they make claims the you can’t personally confirm, be cautious!
  • Giving to relief organizations – Before you give, go to www.give.org to make sure your donation is used in the most efficient and trustworthy manner.
  • Price Gouging - If you have concerns about price gouging please contact the Texas Attorney General’s office at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov or call 800-621-0508

Thank you for trusting the Houston BBB
