    Buyer Beware, I chose this website for a couple reasons. One, because the other more reputable websites with the same prices were sold out. Two, because they appeared to have a pretty decent warranty. I was surprised to learn that after receiving my bike, which came with very poor packaging, was subsequently scratched up on the front fork end. The only thing protecting the front end in the box was a piece of plastic that shattered during transit. The website states this: "If your bike arrives and looks damaged or parts are missing, please notify us. We will work with FedEx on your behalf and make every effort to help you obtain the necessary replacement parts as quickly as possible at no extra cost to you." I was told there are no replacement parts, within minutes. (Not sure if they didn't check or just never have any). And I was offered $20 to "buy paint", to replace a $80-100 fork. How do I know the fork wasn't banged up internally from no padding? I weighed my costs and found the website also says they will charge you their initial free shipping fee, of which they wouldn't state the amount. They said, "Upon arrival and inspection, we will issue the appropriate refund." Which pretty much means you won't know until we do it, and have the bike back. So I took the $20.

    This buyer did, indeed, purchase a bicycle from us and contacted us with pictures of some minor scratching on the front fork of the bicycle. We responded with an apology as well as a suggestion on how to handle these small scratches in the same manner that their Local Bike Shop would. These bikes are packed from the manufacturer and travel half way around the Earth. They are well packed but, of course, damage can occur! The buyer was given the choice of doing this and being compensated for their effort or we could send them a paid label to return the bike. Although the buyer would rather have had a replacement front shock sent to him, that was not an option at this time. The worldwide shortage of bicycles due to COVID-19 also extends to parts and accessories available. As a matter of fact, the lack of availability of these parts is fueling the shortage. We were acutely aware of this current shortage even prior to buyer requesting a replacement. The buyer inquired as to the amount of refund he would receive and was told that upon receipt of the return and inspection we would do a refund. Since we have received boxes filled with bricks, wood, and old dolls... we do inspect the return prior to issuing a full refund. There was no mention of holding any funds. Unfortunately, all businesses are doing the best we can under the current situation. As noted, the buyer was offered a full refund and a paid shipping label. I wish we were able to offer him a replacement fork... they just were not available.
