Overview

Houston Patient Advocacy was founded by Dr. Vik Rajan, the company's president, in 2010. He is a board certified internist, pediatrician, and nephrologist who got involved in patient advocacy during his medical training when his mother experienced numerous health problems, ultimately requiring him to advocate for her care during the last eight years of her life. Upon finishing medical training, having noticed the scarcity of medically trained patient advocates in Houston and around the country, Dr. Rajan decided to create this patient advocacy practice for patients and families so that they may be more educated and empowered in their care.

Services provided include medical advocacy in all fields, all ages, and all settings (inpatient, outpatient, office-based, home-based).

Services also include assistance with medical claim denials and bill negotiation.
