      Do not waste your time or money on this company. I purchased this warranty for my Fifth Wheel Travel trailer as it’s always good to have that peace of mind when your traveling or on the road. I was 10 hours from home where it was 110 degrees and a heat index of 120 when my ac unit went out. I contacted the closest rv dealer which was 100 miles away. They told me they were backed up 60+ days and it would be the end of the summer before they could get someone to look at my AC. I was given the number of a mobile RV repair man that happened to have what I needed and was able to fix the same day but I had to pay out of pocket. Now the warranty company does not want to reimburse me because it was pre-authorized. However my husband spoke with them in the phone before he ever had any repairs completed and they told him how to file the claim. This company is a complete joke all the way down to its employees.

      BBB Team, We appreciate the opportunity to review Ms. *****'s concern regarding her travel trailer. According to our records, on June 26, 2023, our office received a call from Mr. ***** regarding their AC concern. Mr. ***** was advised of the claim process including the contractual requirement for all claims to be pre-authorized. At the time, Mr. ***** was having trouble locating a repair facility or mobile technician but stated he would have them call us with diagnosis. On June 28th, Mr. ***** contacted our offices regarding the repairs that were performed on the AC unit. However, these repairs were performed without prior authorization. Mr. ***** was advised that he could send in the invoices for review, but there was no guarantee that the claim could be authorized and reimbursement provided. The invoices were submitted to our office for review by our claims team and the claim was denied. The repair facility did not contact our offices for prior authorization as required by the terms and conditions of the vehicle service contract.       This company is THE WORST. AVOID AVOID AVOID. I purchaesd a $3,800 Mastertech (Assurant) warranty when I bought my 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe from *** **** **** ******** ***** in Houston on I-45 South. I was assured this was a high caliber warranty, which would cover any issue through the warranty period. With 14 months left on the warranty, the Tahoe required a replacement transmission. MasterTech / Assurant will not work with the local Chevrolet dealership (Louisiana) in replacing the transmission. MasterTech / Assurant will only offer a third-party part, which any branded dealership will refuse to install. This was a very expensive warranty, which, after two days of haggling, has proven to be an absolute nightmare to manage. Do not be tricked by a dealership into purchasing one of these plans. Save your money.

      Good Morning, Thank you for the opportunity to review this particular situation and claim. Our offices were contacted by the service advisor at ***** ********* on 8/9/2023 regarding the vehicle shifting hard. The diagnosis was a failed transmission and motor mounts. The claim and estimate were reviewed and authorization was provided on 8/10/2023 with a vendor remanufactured transmission and new motor mounts. Multiple discussions with the repair facility and the customer took place over the next day or so advising of the coverage and contract terms. Per the terms and conditions of the MasterTech Vehicle Service Contract, "...Replacement will be made with new, remanufactured, or parts of like, kind, and quality...." The transmission that was authorized for your vehicle is a vendor remanufacturered GM transmission and is covered by your MasterTech Vehicle Service Contract until its expiration, which is November 25, 2024 or 108,317 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first.       Scam they told me I would be reimbursed for a rental car 40 dollars a day up to 8 days . I had a rental car for 4 days the total was 312 they only paid 160 after they lied and told me they would pay up to 320

      Mr. ******, we apologize for your experience. However, the terms and conditions of your contract regarding the additional benefit for rental benefit states that we will reimburse you up to $40.00 per day. If your rental was for four days, then the reimbursement would be for four days up to $40.00 per day or a max of $160.00. The contract does not have any provisions to go above the $40.00 per day for rental. The maximum amount of days for rental per the contract is 8 days, thus the maximum reimbursement for the rental benefit is $320.00 if you are authorized for 8 days of rental at a maximum dollar amount of $40.00 per day.       Stay away from this fraud company!! Purchased 2020 Honda Civic. Had a lane sensor failed to operate. The warranty I purchased was to cover bumper to bumper. They failed to cover sensor stating it was due to impact damage. The vehicle has no damage and hasn’t been involved in a accident. The sensor has no damage ! This company is a total FRAUD!!! Frank P

      I purchased a 2013 F150 on 10/22/2021 and an extended warranty from AFAS/Mastertech. On 4/15/2022 I suffered catastrophic engine failure. Since then, I have learned that this warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. After 6 months of waiting, two different ford dealerships working on it, and several phone calls and pictures AFAS denied my claim due to what they called engine sludge. In reality, what they called sludge was actually ground up engine parts in the bottom of the oil pan mixed with the engine oil along with trace amounts of residue from previous oil changes (you never get all of the oil out when you change it.) The engine itself.is clean and not sludge up at all. I changed the oil the day after I bought the vehicle and again in early March 2022, so I know I didn't neglect or abuse the engine. Even after several photos and phone calls from the dealership and a third party master mechanic that are all supporting my claim, AFAS/MT refuses to even reconsider the claim. I'm now entering litigation against this company. DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY!

      This company is horrible and I will never do business with them again. They will make you wait weeks with no correspondence on the issue. They ignore emails. Had a rep tell me on the phone that she could not look up the email I just sent because they were a nationwide company and have other customers after me waiting weeks to hear about this issue. When selling the car and trying to get the warranty check back is a nightmare. It has now been 6 months since I requested my warranty back. I keep sending the documents, weeks will go by and no response. Call them back and they need more documentation. I send it and nothing. It just goes in a circle. You all are #1 in the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my 47 years. You will never get another dime of my money and I will tell all my friends about you that are buying a car. I hope you go out of business however with all the money you steal for others that will unfortunately never happen!
