I used C&J Solar for my solar panel installation that came with a 10 year's installer's warranty that ended at the end of September 2022. I filed a defective microinverter with C&J in March 2022. They said they would reach out to the manufacturer, which is also still under warranty, for a replacement. I didn't back from C&J until I called to get an updated status. This happened a few times. I finally was told that they had the part and they could install it on Veteran's day of this year, November 2022. They installed it, but insisted that I pay the installation fee because I was "Out of the installation warranty". I reported the defective part back in March, WAY before my warranty was expired. I feel like since my claim was filed prior to expiration, that it should be honored by the warranty. Just because the part took so long for them to come in and they took so long to get back to me, that they should honor the warranty and not charge me for installation. On top of that, the part is still not even working after they replaced it. My microinverter is still not reporting data. I called Enphase, the manufacturer, to confirm this, and they have verified that it is not reporting.
