All the horror stories of UHaul are true. We need to boycott them and/or bury them with negative ratings based on the facts of their terrible service: being kicked out of the BBB was no coincidence. Just think about that for a second. They get so many unresolved complaints, that UHaul doesn't even qualify for the BBB. They are, therefore, a bad business. I can begin to tell you how many times they screwed things up and/or abused me as a consumer. We need competition. For me, they kept changing my reservation the day before I was to pick up the rental. The location when you reserve apparently means nothing. Despite a "Reservation guarantee" statement in green next to the CONTINUE button, it means nothing because of fine print at the end of checkout saying they can cancel or change at any time. That is illegal bait-and-switch advertising. I found out when I asked for the $50 payment for a reservation they could not honor. They simply said that my reservation (and they used the word "reservation") did not qualify. The agent then implied I would permanently banned from every renting from UHaul and hung up on me. They also harassed the person used as my emergency contact when they could not find a trailer I left in the spot they told me to leave it. When I asked what could that could possibly do since I was financially responsible, etc, they said they simply contacted my alternate contact. That was a complete lie. I never gave them and "alternate" contact. They get the info for any purpose they want. Disgusting... They trample on customers like no other business I have ever seen.
