According to information in BBB files, this business is no longer in business.Overview
My Kitchen My Way is owned and managed by Philip J Bishop, who has been working in the kitchen remodeling and refacing industry since 1986. He got his start at age 26 with a kitchen refacing and remodeling company (American Kitchens) in Charlotte, NC. That company is still in business today.
Working as an apprentice for four years, Philip
was professionally trained by an engineer, a professional carpenter, and
licensed plumber and electrician. (It is very rare these days for any
carpenter to be professionally trained.) After seven years of experience
and training, he decided to venture out on his own building custom
cabinets and Corian countertops. His crowning achievement in those years
was building a custom kitchen for one of the architects that designed
the Carolina Panthers stadium.
In the ensuing years, Phil has worked as a
subcontractor for various companies as a carpenter and cabinet
installer. Most recently, he worked for six years as a cabinet refacer
with a national home improvement company. With that company, he was
honored nationwide as Installer of the Year for three years in a row.
My Kitchen My Way is the culmination of the
decision to start a refacing company using only the finest available
materials, combined with the best possible installation. Our partnership
with a custom wood product company based in Pennsylvania in business
since 1964 guarantees the finest wood materials made with the state of
the art finishes.
At My Kitchen My Way our focus is squarely on
complete customer satisfaction. We are a locally owned company with deep
roots in the Triad area. Unlike large national chains, our customers
each receive our finest customer service from start to finish. Your
project is treated like our only project.
My Kitchen My Way also takes pride in ecologically sound principles. Several of our refacing material lines are of sustainable
hard wood such as bamboo and eucalyptus. Whenever possible, all of our
customers’ old materials will be recycled. Some examples include sending
old wood doors and drawers to a wood chipper, and recycling all old
metal. Even the adhesive we use is alcohol based (instead of solvent
based) in order to reduce unsafe emissions.
If you want to know more about how the
professionals at My Kitchen, My Way will improve the look of your
kitchen, please feel free to request as Complimentary Kitchen Consultation.
