They are not BBB accredited for a reason. They do not cover what they say they cover when it comes to claims that are made. They are also very quick to decline a claim and do not stay in communication with customer during the process. This insurance company is dishonest and does not stand behind its policies they write for the customer. Very dishonest insurance company. Cannot even give a rating. They turn very salty quickly

I was panicking because my empty building did not have insurance. Also I was in the hospital for a craniotomy to remove a brain tumor that is still there but this is another story. I was looking for insurance for empty buildings, since I was convinced I didn't have it. It was very difficult but I finally stumbled upon Tapco insurance that could accept me. They immediately took my money without an inspection. I didn't think the process was complete and I had this Underwriter Angelo calling me all time to try to get an appointment with me for this inspection, because you know how insurance works, they have to have proof that everything is safe and sound otherwise they won't pay if God forbid something happen. In the mid time I was doing my research and I discovered that my mortgage paid for it and they were waiting for Tapco to send them a document that proof I paid but Tapco could not realized it before the inspection was done. Now I'm asking for a reimbursement from Tapco and the nastiness of these people comes out. They don't want to lose the sales so they are asking me to contact my mortgage agent to pay them in order for me to get the money back. Really nasty people, they would rather lose a customer than 1 sale of $2000 for 6 months. I guess insurance businesses doesn't go so well.

****** **************** 10:23 I cancelled my home insurance back in January and to this day March 1 I have not received the refund of what my mortgage back has paid them. I have been going back and forth with them and getting the run around. Horrible company worst ever DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY!

Refuse to give a refund within a reasonable time, after policy cancellation.

Worst underwrighters ever we have been waiting seven months now for a claim on a leakin shower pipe that took a wall out however they are still collecting there payments we will be going to court and we are canceling our policy worst ever i will not and dont not reccemend this company to anyone

Just cancelled our policy with Tapco after recent fraudulent charges on my credit card and poor services of their staff. Tapco does not care about its clients that is evidenced by the way they communicate with me. The hold time for a phone call is long and automatically timed out after a few minutes of wait. I had to call back three times in order to speak with their billing department just to discuss payment option. Today I called again and went through the same wait time. When I told them that I want to cancel the policy due to the poor services, they said that I need to talk to our local agent to cancel. Tapco cannot cancel my policy directly even this is an option in their telephone directory. This company should not be in business anyway. They will destroy themselves.
