      I contracted stairs, great room, and bedroom for carpet. There is an area approx 2"x8" entering the bedroom closet that feels like there is no padding. They broke the footboard of the bed they moved. They ADDED a perpendicular seam leaving the bedroom. The main seam is obviously visible and you can feel the gap. They added a 3rd day to the installation changing the stairs from folded edges into a runner, their justification was to eliminate visible staples, there are still visible staples. in addition the tacks are a safety hazard. I had a blood drawing cut on my right big toe, They tracked doggie dodo onto my new carpet and did an unsatisfactory job cleaning it. They inspected my complaints a week ago and have failed to counter my monetary offer, only offered to talk.

      Received unsigned letter from our customer on March 9th referencing his Invoice number dated March 7, 2022. Concerns were: 1. There is a patch approximately 4” x 14” leading into the bedroom closet that has a definite indentation and feel as though there is no padding under it. 2. They broke the foot board to the bed. 3. I paid for this crappy looking seam to not be there. 4. I’m sure this obvious seam is acceptable under low quality tradesmanship, but it also reinforces #3. This is the center point of the job. 5. I cut my right big toe walking up the stairs on the defective toe board you installed. 6. These spots are a result of your installers tracking s*** onto my new carpet. They don’t have enough respect for me or their own reputation to walk on the concrete. This picture was taken AFTER your crew half ***** attempt to clean it. All in all, I think you owe me money, the bed alone cost over $17,000, another $300 for a matching nightstand not counting last 6 years of inflation. My scotchgard is permanently compromised. The low quality seam is permanent. The EXTRA crappy seam is permanent. I have had to do and will have to do work to fix YOUR mistake. And I had to schedule 4 days for an install that should have been 1 or 2. I don’t like to negative post on a local business, but without a satisfactory resolution I will, with pictures. I chose my builder for his quote “Do the job right and the money will be there.” You should take note. FYI, it’s insulting to get a final bill before the install is complete. ============================================================================= Our response: 3/9/22: Called customer and the voice mail said: “I don’t get voice mails, you need to text.” We texted: Could you give me a call so that we can discuss your letter and photos sent in? I would like to schedule my installation manager to come out and meet with you to go over the issues you have so that we can get these resolved. Customer response: 3/10/22: My wife is generally home by 3:30. Pick a day and give us notice. Our response: 3/10/22: Would this afternoon be okay? Customer response: 3/10/22: More notice. Our response: 3/10/22: Could we come Monday at 4? Customer response: 3/10/22: I will pencil you in. ============================================================================= Our installation manager went to the customers house on Monday, 3/14/22 to assess the issues and plans to get them resolved. He was verbally assaulted by our customer during the assessment and told us that we were not going to be allowed to come back to their home to address his issues. Our installation manager took several photos while he was there. The broken bed post has clearly been broken prior to our install as there is additional hardware and filler in the bed post. Our installers did not take the bed apart. They only took off the mattress and box spring to shift the bed from one side to the other. We cleaned the 2 spots during installation are clean and no longer noticeable whatsoever, nor did it jeopardize the integrity of their product. The New York Times reported: “The 3M Company said May 17, 2000 that it would stop making many of its well-known Scotchgard products after test showed that the chemical compounds used to make the products linger in the environment and in humans for years.” There is no scotchgard in the customers’ carpet. There is a seam that can easily be fixed and we are more than willing to address our customers issues to get them resolved. However, they will not allow us to enter their home. Customer will not return our texts after trying to call numerous times and texting. We are asking to speak with them about an adjustment that would meet their expectation and understand they are not satisfied with the installation and other complaints. The last communication was on 3/15 and the customer has not responded at all. Nor have we failed to counter a monetary offer, since we’ve never gotten one. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

      There is no reason to talk. Majestic has inspected the work and it is bad. The weak spot in the padding is obvious. The footboard is broken. The cost of the bed was only $1700 NOT $17000. It is an upper end from a budget manufacturer and they use filler to manufacture. The one post on the footboard no longer sets flat and wobbles at the slightest touch. I don't care what method you used to move it, I only care that you broke it. I know when it was broken because I used to hang my nightshirt on it when I woke up. The door seam is not supposed to be there. This cannot be fixed without replacing the whole section and would only be passable quality if it were the same die lot, I don't trust the odds on that. The main seam that is separated is an example of poor workmanship that I would only get more of on a repair effort. The modification they made on the stairs STILL shows staples and the tackboards they installed are a hazard. I sent a picture of the doodoo spots after they attempted to clean it. I waited 2 hours thinking they would dry but they didn't. I don't care what you call the protective treatment on the carpet, I am a layman and most laypeople call it Scotch Guard. The point is that I had to use chemical spot remover which compromises the protective coating. My monetary offer was implied. I said that from my seat Majestic owed me money. Since I asked for no amount I meant to say we call it even.
