Went here with a sick dog. At the time that we arrived even prior to assessment, I was quoted multiple dollar amounts including the fact that if they did x-rays and if not able to clearly read them they would have to charge an additional fee to send the x-rays out. Of course that ended up happening. I don’t know that they even actually did that. The next problem was I was told that my dog needed an ultrasound and I would have to go either to Winston-Salem or Cary for this. I asked if the other emergency vet over off of interstate 40 didn’t have ultrasound services and they said “they don’t, we called”. That was later found to be a bald face lie (confirmed same night by phone and next day by email). Finally they quoted me $4000-$6000 in order to perform an emergency spay. To me a $2000 range is pretty broad. At that point I had lost trust and asked them to just give her antibiotics and let me take her home. The next day upon going to a regular vet, they read the exact same x-rays that they had obtained from this clinic and stated that it was clear what the problem was. Ultimately they charged me less than half to provide the exact same services. In my opinion, this clinic is not at all interested in the well-being of your pet. They are interested only in lining their pockets. I would not trust them. I would go to the other emergency clinic off of Guilford College Road at interstate 40. When I called that clinic, they were kind enough to give me some advice over the telephone to ensure that my pet was safe through the night.

I think there is some shady charging going on at this vet. I took my dog in for diarrhea and they charge me for emergency even though we are already clients. I drop her off and they call back an hour later saying she's got worms (which were not caught at her previous wellness visit at the same location a few months prior). After a nearly 700$ charge, I get a bag of medications to de-worm, antibiotics, and a prescription for an antibacterial. They return my dog and her behind is covered in poo. I mentioned I asked for a sanitary shave and that she's covered in poo. They take her back to clean her and return her..... still covered in poo. This seems to be a trend because when my cat went in for vomiting they returned him covered in pee. I wrote it off at the time because cats are notoriously onery. I went to fill the antibacterial prescription, only to find that my pharmacy didn't carry it and were confused as to why my vet wasn't prescribing a more common one. Upon calling, I was told to try Costco. After calling every vet in town, nobody had this drug and I was told to order it online which would take up to six business days. When I reminded them my dog has diarrhea and asked what I was supposed to do about this for six days I was told "you could try letting her out more often" and that this wasn't going to kill her. After placing the order for the drug online (and calling another vet to swap my dog and cat to them) they magically found some of the medicine they prescribed me! Only to get it from them it would now cost 400$. I have very rarely had a visit with them under 400$. I would not recommend going to this vet unless it was a dire emergency and no-where else is open. And bring plenty of money.

I think there is some very unethical business going on with this vet. My dog had to have an emergency surgery in which the vet reported that the surgery went fine and that he was doing great. 2 hours later he is dead. The vet says he doesn’t know what happened. There was no indication that CPR was done on my dog or any other life saving maneuvers to save his life. I work in heath care in a hospital and I know that any patient coming out of anesthesia has got to be monitored. I feel like the surgery was easy and everyone working went to take a nap while my dog died alone. He was 2 1/2 years old and was like a son to us. We are devastated. When we went to say goodbye to him and make arrangements for his cremation the vet did not speak to us about our baby and the vet tech didn’t act like she really knew what she was doing. Also, I would like to add that when he was wheeled in for us to view his body the tech bumped him into the door jam and laughed. Well I’m not laughing and would like to see a full investigation done on this place.
