            My brothers truck was taken in for number 4 injector and an oil cooler. Tech proceeded to strip out 7 out of 8 bolts that hold the oil rail down on drivers' side bank. They then shove copper wire around the threads to try to repair it which didn't work. The truck dies going down the road a few weeks later and is taken to another shop for diagnosis and that is what the tech found. Along with the 7 stripped bolts, the high-pressure oil pumps bearings went bad because of the lost pressure and aeration caused by the oil rail not being properly secured to OEM spec. Owner will not hold himself accountable even though there is more than enough proof to prove it was this shop.Business is not advised.

            This truck came into the shop in September of 2023 for the stated repair.  Never would we shove copper wire around the threads of a bolt to try and repair and if the bolts were stripped as stated above, they couldn't have been overtightened as you stated in your phone conversation.  On the 2nd visit, no work was performed however, the high pressure oil pump failure, as well as a suspected cracked head was diagnosed by us when the truck was brought in 5 months and over ***** miles after the September repair which you are stating was the cause of your current failure.  I would expect that if your accusations were accurate, a problem would certainly have shown itself long before 7 months and well over ***** miles after the repair in question.  This is a reputable, quality repair shop and we always stand behind our work.  If mistakes are made (and they are), we admit them and correct them.  What you are describing is not a mistake - it is questionable work, which we do not do.
