I have had two recent experiences with Maciel Roofing. The first went well although his price was higher than other bids, he was able to do the roof to my rental property quickly. We paid him $37,000. My second experience dealing with **** Maciel was very disturbing. On Dec ***************************************** and the water went to the second floor. Since we had recently dealt with Maciel Roofing we contacted ****. He called two days later and said that he would only come out if we paid $2,500. Since we were desperate and thought we had major damage on our roof we agreed. He came out with 2 employees and they worked for 1 hour. When he gave the invoice it only said "Performed the necessary repairs over the leak area on the roof." When I asked him for more detail so that I would send the invoice to my insurance he became angry. He sent me an e-mail accusing me of wanting him to lie and commit fraud. All I requested was more detail of the work he had performed on my roof. I suspected he had done minor work and did not want to tell me. He finally did give me further description which confirmed that he had only cleaned out the gutter in one area. I sent him an e-mail and told him that I felt he had overcharged us and taken advantage of us and the situation we were in. His response was that he was sorry I felt this way and that he had done me a favor. I will never use his services again or recommend him to anyone.

Prior to performing ***********, I informed you that we don't do insurance work nor would I be able to provide information to your insurance company. I also mention that we no longer perform leak repairs but I wanted to make an exception because you were my customers. Finally, I provided you with the price before coming to your house, which you agreed to. We did not only clean your gutters but also performed a major repair on your roof to stop the big leak that you had there were 4 employees total working on your roof including my self.
