My original bid given to me back in ******** was for $14,570. 4/25/22 is the date the company initiated work on my house. That same day at 8:57pm at night. The owner ****** texted me to inform me that his ******* had informed him that the gutters needed to be replaced and the cost would be $4,695. On 4/26/22 at 1:52pm after removing the second layer of roof ****** again texted me along with sending me 11 photos to inform me that the workers discovered dry rot and that repairs are needed. I asked ****** the cost of the dry rot repair and I did informed him that I've now went over my budget after finding out the cost of the gutter and downspouts. He texted me back just minutes later with the breakdown of cost letting me know that 6 sheets of plywood is needed at $65 a sheet + $95 hour and that it should take about 3-4 hours to complete which would have came out $770 in total. I specifically asked ****** via text "so is there anything else I needed to know?" he responded seconds later "not at this time". There was no further communications of anything after 4/26/22 then I received a final bill on 5/02/22demanding payment of $28,345.38 stating that the job was complete. I immediately texted *************** day inquiring about the bill and if the roof was really completed. After going back and forth via a texted I decided to just call him since nothing was really making sense to me and that is when he informed me that additional rotting were discovered and that he was not aware of this until completion of repairs were already done and confirmed with me that the roof was not yet done and that it should be completed and done by 5/94/22.The company has now billed me for unauthorized repairs and has threaten to put a lien on my home.
