      Im an investor on airbnb . I recently had an issue regarding a guest that was involved in illegal activity. I sent videos to airbnb and was told that they would investigate. They stated I can cancel the guest reservation and that I would get to keep the 2 months payment since he broke the contract. ( lies ) once this issue was sent to the safety team they refunded the guest one month of the stay and stated that since he didnt stay for that month since I canceled him out he didnt have to pay . ( he broke the law and sold drugs in my property) we asked ******* the safety manager to please help us with this situation since the refunded money wasnt correctly given. She didnt care to help or investigate the matter correctly. We didnt call the police because we didnt want the neighbors to feel more fear than what they were experiencing. I cant understand how airbnb gets away with protecting these criminals . We pay for these services . We rent these homes to have our guest feel comfortable and free to have a great experience: but safety to our neighbors and children is #1 we still have the videos and if I have to share I will

      My girlfriend and I stayed in an Airbnb in ******* for spring break. Upon check in, it was really late the lights did not work. There were a few other issues but we decided to address it in the morning. I messaged the host and at first he was responsive, he said that a manager will be on their way to fix it. At this time there were a lot of issues with the apartment. Dishes were filthy, bowls with bacon grease in it from the previous guests, the couch was covered in stains, curtains were hanging off, dishwasher and microwave didnt work, mold on windows, pretty positive the sheets were not cleaned. This was really frustrating, we needed the kitchen so my girlfriend and I could cook meals some nights to help save money. Two days go by and the manager still hasnt fix the lights and the host quit responding. I call Airbnb hoping that they will resolve the issue. Nothing. I talked to four representatives and finally one of them asks if I want to leave my stay. I said yes, so he sent me three different options to choose from. None of the three are for the week we are staying there. He sends another three. All in which requires me to pay an additional $700-$900 out of pocket. I could not do that, so we were advised to continue our stay and try to request a refund through the resolution center. Four days go by, at this point I didnt get much of a vacation. I spent days trying to get things resolved. On day four the manager finally comes by and fixes the lights but nothing else. We try to go through the resolution center, nothing. Airbnb is a scam. They knew the host lied about our stay that we paid for and had no interest supporting us.

      DO NOT book a property thru Airbnb. Hosts are dishonest. Property listings are deceptive. Rented a property with no pool heater, which host had messaged was installed. There was No pool heater. ***** did not work. Gas stove cooktop did not work, because the property did not have a gas permit. The kitchen was not equipped with basic kitchenware like baking sheets and Pyrex cookware for preparing family dinners. Fire table did not work because initially propane tanks were empty, and when they were filled, we found the tank laying on its side below the fire table which is very unsafe. The pickleball court had no net. The so-called movie theater was four tvs which were not in sync. The host did not provide schedules for trash and recycling pickup. Nor did she provide exit instructions. When we asked about a partial refund, we were verbally told by the team manager that we would be accommodated. What a lie! The host, who never addressed any of our issues and left it up to another team member, denied any refund. Again, do not book any property thru Airbnb. And be sure to advise all family and friends the same. They deserve a very poor rating!!!

      Airbnb is deleting negative reviews of their "Guest Favorites" properties to protect them from receiving any negative feedback. Because Airbnb knows this affects their bottome line, they are actively getting rid of negative reviews. If you see a "5.0" rating for a property, it is more than likely A LIE. They only want positive reviews on their site, so any rating 3 stars and below is getting deleted. BEWARE OF AIRBNB! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!

      I do not recommend one of the worst experience ever my son booked through them with cozy penthouse hosted by ******** so my son and his girl friend comes ***************** and wanted to stay together so they booked a air bnb he use my phone so my number is the one that pop up but mind you the owner met with my son took his money knew him and his girlfriend where staying there and has no problem with it what so ever about 3 hours after they check in they called me and said they just seen 2 roaches and his girlfriend was uncomfortable they text the owner just to let him no they seen a couple of roaches he then called the number which is mines that was connected to the app I then give him my son number and let him Know that where still at the house he then called my son told hom They had to leave the air bnb at 12:00 at night never gave them a reason when my son so okay well may I have my money back he then have my son ******************************************************************************************************** it would take 5 business days my son then left quietly and respectively, and not even knowing the reason that he had to leave only told that he was going to h*** at the terminator come into the Airbnb now two months later my son coming home again for the weekend and trys to book and finds that the owner with the roaches has left a bad review on my son for possible scamming and I dont no how or why he had roaches he ask them to leave they left with no questions and no disrespect today we ask him why did he say this when it wasnt true he proceeded to call me a stupid b amongst other things thats out of my name

      AirBnB cancellation policy is predatory, greedy, unempathetic and unfair to guests. I had to cancel my reservation the same day of my arrival because a member of the family was involved in a horrible automobile accident and we had to be her in the hospital. AirBnB wanted to pretend that I did not cancel, but after offering a print screen of the cancellation, they agreed that the reason was justified, but only retuned the cleaning fee. This was my last interaction with the greedy, unempathetic organization. I will never be back.

      I wrote a guest review of a host after my stay. I wrote details about cleanliness of the host's room in my guest review, including that the utensils were dirty, food-crusted and the mattress was old and dirty. The host complained to AirBNB and asked that my review be taken down from his profile, so AirBNB Support took down my review. A customer service rep told me that my guest review was "not relevant". I called AirBNB to complain that my honest review of the place had been taken down. AirBNB then put my review back up. The host then complained that my review had been re-posted. AirBNB subsequently took my review down again and said my review was not "relevant" and that my review was "manipulative". This means that AirBNB has DELETED my valid guest review that tell an honest picture of the place. To summarize, AirBNB (1) posted my review, (2) took it down, (3) then posted it again, (4) then took it down again.... They did not offer me any voucher or apology for their deletion of my valid guest review and they did not explain with any details either on the phone or in messages why my guest review was not "relevant" to the host's place.

      Airbnb allowed guests to hold my family in fear, as guest had 7 other men staying and I am a single mother with 2 children. I told a lot of time trying to get reimbursed for wall damage, extra guests, and to cancel the reservation. They sent me a total of $500, and did not follow through with canceling, paying for 7 other guests and kept saying sorry. I have never felt so trapped in a situation where I feared for my children and my own safety. I tried communicating several times respectfully and was accused for trying to scam and that it was a lie.I send several video footage and pictures to prove everything and still I had no support. I was transferred to 34 people, explaining the situation everytime and I still didn't get the right support person according to every staff member I spoke to.The rules were not followed, the whole listing was ignored. These people are still today in my house, and I literally am afraid to leave my home.They will literally allow a guest to harm and take advantage of you.I highly recommend not going through Airbnb, they will not support you period.

      Airbnb is a scam. We rented out 3 bed Luxury apartment for 3 nights. When we woke up on the first day morning, city has shut down the water for the apartment. We didn't have water, the basic necessity for 4 hours. Host was rude and Airbnb charged us $250 cleaning fee for all the days claiming that they have a policy that host can charge cleaning fee if house was clean for the check in day. Airbnb charged us service fee for all the days. They ruined our trip and is still looting money from the guests. SCAM.

      This is the worst corporation I've ever dealt with, both as a Host (Superhost at three locations), and as a guest. I'm not going to bore you with the various details. Lets just say that Airbnb will NEVER, EVER, cover you as a guess or a host for anything. If they cannot obtain refunds or damages voluntarily from a guest or host, they will ************ the case, over and over again. There is NO million dollar host coverage (been there done that), and the is NO Aircover coverage for guests. There are no solutions, and you cannot review Airbnb as a company. Imagine that. Go to a hotel. Seriously, just go to a hotel.
