            My car was towed on a federal holiday for violating a parking restriction for certain hours and days associated with a construction project. As with street cleaning, periodical parking restrictions often do not apply on federal holidays. I believe the onus should be on the SFMTA to clarify whether or not a parking restriction applies to federal holidays clearly on relevant signage. Had I known, I obviously wouldn't have parked there! I worry that SFMTA is not incentivized to properly communicate restrictions of this nature to citizens as it results in meaningful revenue, at the expense of public trust and disillusionment. Do better.
