EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:I paid $11,385 to the booking agent (CheapFirstClass.com) for tickets to fly in June 2020.I was not issued a refund from the booking agent when the flight was cancelled due to pandemic lockdowns.Since pandemic refunds were issued by airlines, I suspect the booking agent received the money.I was told I had $11,385 in credit to use on any future flight with any carrier.Later, when trying to use the credit for international travel, I was told it could only be used on one specific carrier not any airline.When I actually booked an international flight on the specified carrier, I was only allowed to use $3,795 of my credit and was required to pay an additional $859 for my business class ticket.Shortly before my flights departure, I was informed the booking agent never paid for the ticket and my reservation was cancelled.Booking agent rebooked the flight and I went to ****, *****.Hours before my return flight, I was told the booking agent never paid for the return ticket.Booking agent rebooked my return flight in economy class even though I paid for business class and did not provide any refund for the downgrade.Booking agent owes, at a minimum, a total of $10,250 ($7,590 for the amount of credit they would not refund or allow us to properly use and $2,300 for the downgrade to economy class).
