              Thumbtack is offering service for handymen and professionals to aquire business with them. The issue is clients have the ability to instant book multiple Pros and thumbtack automatically charges that pro even if the clients goes with another installer. The clients are unaware of thumbtack charging every installer they contact ahead of time even if that installer does not get the job. I have reached out to thumbtack about this and I was told that they do not refund for these reasons. Thumbtack is showing multiple pros to the clients and telling them to contact multiple pros for a better chance of getting their project dont but then charging all the pros that clients contacts immediately knowing that only 1 pro can be booked for the job.

              Thumbtack is a scam. When we initially signed up we did receive a few responsive leads that were real, we only hit one job out of them but the leads were real. A few months later we get charged for dead leads (non responsive). The leads get reached out to via multiple mediums, multiple times but they are non responsive. This means they are fake and we get charged without even being able to talk to the customer. Even if we dont get the job, we would at least like the opportunity to talk to the customer. But since they arent real customers, it is obvious they will NEVER respond to our messages and calls. We have notified ******** of this multiple times via multiple channels but they refuse to refund, and even worst, they refuse to do anything about it. And that is called a SCAM
