On 08/09/22, I signed a solar contract with a sales person from high solar definition. She told me, they had extra product on hand plus a great interest rate ****% at this time. I did not want to sign the contract because we needed a new roof. The rep said, sign to lock your price of $56,000.00 and take care of your roof whenever you can. Took me 6 months to get my roof done, during those 6 months I received numerous phone calls ******* me to get my roof done, during those 6 months, if it wasn't money, it was a Family death and then weather related problems that I wouldn't get it done sooner. At month 6 when roof was done, I informed them, they delivered material, scheduled a day to install, the day of Install I get a call from High solar saying they will be picking up equipment and cannot do the work because my contract expired. After that they asked me to apply for a new loan which I did. but did not qualify for a loan, they looked around and found a PACE loan, with a ****% interest and it would be tied to my mortgage, I don't feel comfortable taking this loan and when I told them that, they threatened to put a lien on my house for the entire solar amount of $56,000.00. I don't have my solar up, it is not like I'm not making a payment on equipment I have, I don't have this equipment. I can't sleep, nor do I have $56,000.00 laying around, this is my first time buying a home and I'm scared to lose my house if they put a lien on it. I would like this contract that is expired to be terminated since the work isn't done, I don't want to be forced into a new contract that I cannot afford.
