I don't even know where to begin. Let's start off with the fake review under my mother's name on ******* website. My mom has never posted a review in her life, yet there's her name with a glowing review from May 2019. Last year my mother hired ***** to install vinyl flooring and carpeting in her rental. ***** charged her a deposit of $1,900 (52% of the estimate) saying he needed the money to buy the materials. My mother felt she had to pay the requested amount, so she did. BEWARE this is ILLEGAL. CA law requires contractors to not charge a deposit of more than 10% or $1,000 whichever is less.The workmanship for the vinyl flooring was very sloppy. After the install, we found the toilet on its side in the hallway with the water all over the carpet, mortar on the brand new shower doors, adhesive stuck to the new floor in the bathroom, adhesive on the basin drain pipe, the vinyl flooring was cut on the carpet instead of outside and shavings stuck on the newly painted walls. My mom called ***** about an air pocket in the bathroom flooring and he never got back to her to get the issue fixed.Recently my mother contacted ***** regarding issues with the carpet that was installed 2 years ago. She sent ***** a photo of a stain that a professional carpet cleaner could not get out. The carpet has a lifetime stain warranty. ***** told her she was on her own because she had a professional clean it. The warranty requires professional carpet cleaning in order to make a claim! The carpet also needed to be stretched and instead of honoring the lifetime labor warranty, he referred her to other vendors. When she questioned him on this, he stated that he would make repairs for a fee after one year. What kind of lifetime labor warranty is that?I personally found ***** to be passive/aggressive and unpleasant to deal with. In our experience, he doesn't stand by his written contracts, products or the law.
