I hit a rut off roading and damaged my car. I smelled burning oil/rubber and the car was rattling and clanging. I took it to ***. He said it was the transmission mount. Part would take a week. He said he drove the car and it was FINE. I should come get it and enjoy my weekend! Said I could drive it for a year like that. 11 days later, he fixed the mount and said "the plot thickens" you also have a broken motor mount. He said: "You know, I never even looked under the hood". I picked up my car to take it to another mechanic who was interested in looking under the hood. I was upset because he told me "I'm *****% certain the car is safe to drive and you won't cause any more harm" when in fact he never looked under the hood. ALSO - during this whole time, any time I tried to ask a question, he would cut me off and say "I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL BE. I didn't ask, I just know you need it" When I demanded to know WHY he never looked under my hood, yet ASSURED me it was safe to drive he said "I saw the broken transmission mount and thought that was it" Incompetent. I got the car to a new mechanic. Askim did NOT repair the motor mount as claimed. He repaired a snubber mount and attached it to a completely broken, hanging down subframe and never told me. I posted a poor review to warn others and he had his secretary post a reply full of lies when she never even met me. When I demanded to see receipts to verify the parts were factory, and asked for a breakdown of hourly rates he said "We're not going to do that. If that's the way you feel just leave" So I did. His secretary wrote in her reply that I came in and "just took the car" and "wouldn't listen" These are lies. Don't go here. *** is charming and nice on the surface but charm doesn't keep me and my vehicle safely on the road.
